Exodus 14:10-12   (Holman Christian Standard Bible) 10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw the Egyptians coming after them. Then the Israelites were terrified and cried out to the LORD for help. 11 They said to Moses: "Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you took us to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Isn't this what we told you in Egypt: Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness."
Exodus 14:13-14     (Holman Christian Standard Bible) 13 But Moses said to the people, "Don't be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD's salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you must be quiet."
John 12:26 (Contemporary English Version) 26 If you serve me, you must go with me. My servants will be with me wherever I am. If you serve me, my Father will honor you.
John 12:26    (Contemporary English Version) 26 If you serve me, you must go with me. My servants will be with me wherever I am. If you serve me, my Father will honor you.
MOSES – GOD DELIVERS GOD DELIVERS: JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE Jeremiah 31:3  (Contemporary English Version)   3 Some time ago, the LORD appeared to me and told me to say: Israel, I will always love you;    that's why I've been so patient and kind.
GOD DELIVERS JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME
AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME Psalm 50:15  (Contemporary English Version) 15 Pray to me in time of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me
Isaiah 55:8-9   (Contemporary English Version) 8 The LORD says: "My thoughts and my ways are not like yours. 9 Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, my thoughts and my ways  are higher than yours.
God’s Timing God knew the time of deliverance for Israel. He knows what the time of deliverance is for you.     God is God and his timing is perfect!
GOD DELIVERS JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE
IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE If you were leading an escape out of Egypt you would not have taken the route that God had given Israel. They were led right into a dead end with no human means of escape. And God was leading! Exodus 13:21-22
Exodus 13:21-22 21-22 During the day the LORD went ahead of his people in a thick cloud, and during the night he went ahead of them in a flaming fire. That way the LORD could lead them at all times, whether day or night.
A Change of Directions When the children of Israel left Egypt they headed south and camped in a place called Etham.  There God gave instructions and even a reason for changing directions.
Exodus 14:2-4 2 Tell the people of Israel to turn back and camp across from Pi-Hahiroth near Baal-Zephon, between Migdol and the Red Sea. 3 The king will think they were afraid to cross the desert and that they are wandering around, trying to find another way to leave the country.
Exodus 14:2-4 4 I will make the king stubborn again, and he will try to catch you. Then I will destroy him and his army. People everywhere will praise me for my victory, and the Egyptians will know that I really am the LORD. The Israelites obeyed the LORD and camped where he told them.
God told Moses to change directions. They were to back track to a place called Baal-zephon.  By doing this, they were going to entice Pharaoh into thinking that Israel was confused and vulnerable. God’s purpose was to give God one last victory over Pharaoh.
Chuck Swindoll, says… “ The trouble was, Baal-zephon formed a perfect geographical cul-de-sac. Just to the north stood some formidable Egyptian fortresses – massive stone structures. No way could they get through there. To the south lay the vast Egyptian dessert called Mizraim. No protection there. To the west lay Ramses and Goshen. That’s where they’d just been: they couldn’t return to Egypt. To the East lay the Red Sea…” Charles R. Swindoll, A Man of Selfless Dedication – Moses, (Nashville, TN Word Publishing, 1999), p. 215
It Was The Right Place! They were in just right place! There was no human way of escape! The Egyptian army could come in and make mincemeat of the Israelites.   Why was this “just the right place”?
GOD DELIVERS JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE FOR JUST THE RIGHT REASON
Why… Why did God deliver Israel, but put Her in even more trouble? Why will God deliver you, even though for a time, your troubles might seem to get worse?
Exodus 14:4 … 4 I will make the king stubborn again, and he will try to catch you. Then I will destroy him and his army. People everywhere will praise me for my victory, and the Egyptians will know that I really am the LORD. The Israelites obeyed the LORD and camped where he told them.
It is so… that He will get the glory! that we can not take the credit. others will see the awesome power of God! God makes his deliverances awesome so that He will be glorified!
GOD DELIVERS JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE FOR JUST THE RIGHT REASON WITH JUST THE RIGHT THOROUGHNESS
First, God moved the cloud to the back of the Israelites, and it formed a wall.  It shielded the Egyptians from seeing the Israelites.  It was a cloud on one side, but the side of Israel it was a pillar of fire.  The Israelites could see to make their escape. Vss. 19-20
WITH JUST THE RIGHT THOROUGHNESS Vs. 21 – God parted the sea and sent a drying wind so that the sea bed would dry up. Vs. 22 – The children of Israel escaped. Vss. 23-25 In the morning,  Pharaoh’s army pursued, but became stuck in the sea bed. They panicked and tried to escape. It was too late..
WITH JUST THE RIGHT THOROUGHNESS Vss. 26-27 – Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea came back together.   Vss. 28-30 – There was total victory! Vs. 31 – The victory was so complete that Israel feared the Lord.
WITH JUST THE RIGHT THOROUGHNESS God can and will totally deliver you through your troubles, if you will trust Him, if you follow Him, and if you will let Him! GOD DELIVERS JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME IN JUST THE RIGHT PLACE FOR JUST THE RIGHT REASON
