3. Question #1
John: I want to get started but I am not computer
savvy, what should I use? SiteBuilder? WordPress?
GDI can work for you no matter your
computer or internet marketing abilities.
• GDI developed SiteBuilder to help anyone
build a site quickly and simply.
• Templates
• Wizard
• Easily add, remove and customize pages
• Create a SiteBuilder blog
4. Setback #1: It’s Been a Slow Month
Solution: Work Through It
Whether it’s your first month or you’ve been with GDI for
years, a slow month is bound to happen every now and
then. The most important thing to do when this happens is
to not get discouraged. This is a major issue with our new
affiliates who start a little slow out of the gate, but don’t
worry, it’s common and those who are successful simply
work through it.
Take a slow month as a sign that you need to switch up
your marketing or strategy or simply need to put more
hours into you work. One of these will certainly pay off.
Remember, when you work with GDI, you are creating your
own business. If a real business had a slow month or two
would they just show down? No, they would adjust and
push forward, as should you. And remember the
“investment” to start your own business with GDI is a tiny
fraction of what it would be to start a business with out it.
So work through the slow months and stick with it.
5. Setback #2: You Can’t Get in Touch with Your Upline
Solution: Head to Your Members Area
One of the keys to a successful network
marketing venture is communication and a
good team. These are hard to have if you can’t
get in touch with your upline. To combat this,
we provide you with all of your upline’s contact
information. Simply log into you Members Area
and click on Upline in the left hand navigation
for this information. You can even head over to
Live Chat to start and instant conversation with
any members of your upline or downline that
are available. Finally, remember to be a good,
responsive upline yourself!
6. Setback #3: People Tell Me It’s a
Pyramid Scheme
People often say this when referring to the structure
of network marketing. However, network marketing
is much like any other business. GDI operates with
one person at the top, much like a CEO, and that’s
you! This “pyramid” then expands to levels of others
underneath him, much like employees. And those
who get in early make the most money.
The only difference between a network marketing
model and the standard corporate structure of any
business today is that YOU are your own CEO. You
start at the top and build down, helping others do the
same.
7. Setback #4: People are Afraid to Commit
No matter how big or small, any type of time or financial commitment
can be scary to a new prospect. If you have someone who is really
pushing back we recommend:
Gift Cards: GDI gift cards allow you to give the gift of GDI to anyone
who needs a domain, or in this case, wants to get started with GDI, but
isn’t ready to commit. The gift cards can be given for 1, 3, or 6 months.
Be sure to follow up often with people who receive gift cards!
The 7 Day Free Trial: Our huge marketing tool is still just as effective.
Why not give people the chance to get their feet wet with GDI for 7 days
and then decide? Be sure to inform these people of all GDI has to offer
and even “show them around” with your own videos or our GDI
Tutorials.
8. Setback #5: I Already Went Through My Personal Network,
There’s No One Left
Solution: Use Social Media and In Person Marketing
LinkedIn: Connect with anyone you have even done business with and
search for more people in network marketing, affiliate marketing or
internet marketing-this is your key demographic for building your network.
Search for groups on these topics as well and network online!
Twitter: Search for #networkmarketing and network marketing within
tweets and profiles, these are people who understand the industry and
may be looking for their next bug opportunity
Local Business and Networking Events: In a tough economy, these
events seems pretty common as everyone is trying to get insight into a
new business venture or build their network. Attend these events, talk to
people and be honest about your experiences and motives. You have a
business opportunity to share, treat it as such.
