• Cyberbullying is when a child is threatened or humiliated by
another child or teen using the Internet or mobile phones. It
has to have a child on both sides. Once adults become
involved, it is called cyberstalking which is never called
  cyberbullying.
• There are two kinds of cyberbullying, direct attacks, or using
others to help cyberbully the victim, this second one often
gets adults involved, that’s why it is much more dangerous.
• When there is a case of cyberbullying, kids decide
to do this kind of things because of anger or
revenge. Sometimes they do it for fun or because
they are bored and have a lot of free time. Some
do it by accident, for example they send a
message to the wrong person or didn't think
before they did it. Nerds may defend themselves
  from traditional bullies through cyberbullying,
only to find that they enjoy being the bully. Some
girls do it to help a friend or to remind people of
  their own social standing.
• Preventing cyberbullying
• Educating the kids about the consequences helps.
Teaching them to respect others and to be against
bullying of all kinds helps too.
How can you stop it once it starts?
Unfortunately, there is not an easy solution when
cyberbullying is started. Experts who understand
  schoolyard bullying often misunderstand cyberbullying,
thinking it is just another method of bullying. When
you know there is a case of cyberbullying is always
better to find out who are the ones involved and talk to
  them before its to late.
• What is the school's role in this?
The school often try to get involved by teaching the student about
cyberbullying and its consequences , but it is really difficult because
all the problems took place outside the school and the students feel
they can do whatever they want, which is in someway true. The
school can only teach them, what happens outside the school is not
  of their business.

• What's the parents' role in this?
Parents need to be very trusted by kids if they want them to talk
about their problems. What happens outside the school is in some
way the parent`s responsabillity, making very important for them to
be informed about what their children is doing, only them can deal
  with cyberbullying.
