This has a short write up about how I discovered usability and how it led me to UX. It also includes information about my professional & personal achievements, a list of specialists that I usually work with as an UX Consultant or UI Designer.
Also included in my cv; a list of UX research/data collecting methods, my skill set and tools.
I have been involved in a number of User Experience initiatives throughout the years. This is highlighting some key projects I was lucky to be a part of in the last few years. https://www.linkedin.com/in/bergenlarsen
Breaking down what UX means and just how it's measured, what is UX Debt, and how to iteratively improve UX in a way that Product People will find both insightful and relevant
How can User Experience and Business Analysis work well together?User Vision
UX and business analysis – achieving the benefits of a close relationship
Many UX professionals cross paths with business analysts in the course of delivering projects. Both professions define and apply requirements, though typically one leans toward user requirements and the other toward business requirements. However these worlds often converge, especially as more organisations realise the business value of focusing on customers through user research and user-centred design. It is perhaps inevitable that these two professions, increasingly valued for customer-oriented projects, occasionally have overlapping remits which may lead to either internal friction or positive outcomes.
In this session we explore the areas of similarity, difference and potential collaboration in the respective fields of user experience and business analysis.
We will co-present the briefing with Sarah Williams, a senior business analyst and UX practitioner with leading law firm Linklaters who has successfully integrated the fields and evangelised the UX and service design approach for many internal and client-facing projects. Sarah and Chris Rourke from User Vision will discuss the goals and perspectives of the two fields and where the greatest opportunities are for knowledge transfer and co-operation for successful project delivery.
The talk will be especially of interest for UX professionals working alongside BAs, Business Analysts wanting to know more about user experience and service design, or anyone managing teams that have either or both of these important roles.

Discusses my take on what UX Strategy is and how a UX strategy is important to the UX profession as a whole and to us as UX professionals.
A brief introduction of Product Designing process followed at www.actiwate.in . Being the UI/UX in-charge i have listed down all the important processes to be followed from the start to the prototyping of the product.

User Experience, or UX, is a fashionable buzzword. Is it just a fad, or is it actually important to your project? If you have users, then the answer is yes! But what if you have no UX resource? In this presentation we will explain how the BA is perfectly positioned to take on several key UX roles, and drive towards a delightful user experience. We shall demonstrate how we have used key concepts, tools and techniques to produce valuable results.
Key learnings include:
- What UX actually means
- The ROI of UX and why time should be invested in it
- Discover tools and techniques for BAs to apply on their projects
- See a case study of a web based business application designed using UX principles and methods

Designer is constantly confronted with challenge that how to make the application simple but also powerful. Powerful features will usually result in the complicated user interface. How to simplify it without sacrificing the powerfulness ?
This decks are for addressing the challenges from both product management and user experience design perspectives.
Efficient Teams Do Not Happen. They are Designed. It's called DesignOpsUXDXConf
There's an art behind happy and efficient teams and it's called DesignOps. Several studies demonstrate that designers spend up to 60% of their time doing non-design work.
But do you know where your team is spending their time instead of working on doing great design? Have you ever thought to measure your teams' inefficiencies?
DesignOps is the facilitating function that supports design teams to scale by improving ways of working, x-functional collaboration and processes so that designers can focus 100% on doing design.
This talk, based on first-hand experiences and learnings, will focus on key best practices to help position DesignOps at the right altitude, identify the right allies, and assess design teams’ performance and opportunities.
Is User Centered Design a buzzword, a technique, or a methodology? Why does "UCD" get so much attention? How has it changed how teams approach web application usability efforts? Is UCD right for you?

Wide margins of Wisconsin voters say that they want to see Wisconsin meet more of its energy needs through clean, renewable sources like wind, solar and bioenergy and energy efficiency, according to a recent bipartisan poll. They are also more likely to support candidates this who say they will promote more use of clean renewable energy like wind and solar power. The polling was conducted July 26 through Aug. 3 by a bipartisan research team comprised of Public Opinion Strategies (R) and Fairbank, Maslin, Metz and Associates (D). The margin of error is +/- 4.9 percent, with more than 400 Wisconsin voters representing a cross section of demographics including political affiliation, race, sex and locality. The polling was done was part of nonpartisan outreach efforts to broaden the conversation on energy issues between candidates and voters throughout the Midwest.

I was fortunate during my early days as a web designer to
work with experts from different industries. That
experience taught me to analyse business processes and
translate them into user-centric flows which, after much
online trawling, brought me to varies articles about
usability.
I have learnt to look at graphic user interface as functional
UX element of usability; one of the many important
considerations for an improved holistic user experience.
Through workshops, talksand consulting with UX experts,
I have learned to prepare and conduct stakeholders
interviews, focus groups and in-depth user testing.
I have also learned to analyse user test data, develop
wireframes & information architecture, present findings
and recommendations to internal teams as well as
clients.
UX is a collaborative effort that involves teams of different
specialties. The end product should be a great user-
centric product that also meets stakeholders’ vision and
business objectives. That said, I also understand that
products are meant to evolve with user expectations.
UX is an ongoing activity.
