KEY EXPERIENCE:
Broad experience in infrastructure projects, i.e. Dams, Bridges, Highways, Water
Channels, and Flood Protection Structures. Experience in site investigation works,
grouting works, earth fill and embankments, slope stability analysis, hydraulic
structures design and construction, planning, and tender documents preparation. I
have worked in many different kinds of infrastructure projects in many countries,
Jordan, Sultanate of Oman, Kurdistan (Iraq)and Saudi Arabia. Working tasks have
varied from one project to another. I have worked as a site engineer, assistant
project manager, quantities surveyor, operation and maintenance engineer for dams
and dams designer in addition to reviewing the design for many, drilling and
grouting works, I have carried out the geotechnical site investigation studies for
many dams and roads.

Aradah Dam is a Conventional Concrete Gravity dam. The dam
height is 70 m, length is 365m, and the reservoir storage capacity is
about 68 MCM.

Position Dam Engineer and Team Leader
Project Panel For Design Review and construction Supervision of many
Dams– Erbil-Kurdistan-Iraq
A panel of experts in dam design and construction supervision is
invited to review the design for many dams and in Kurdistan and to
supervise the construction for many other dams in the region. I am
the Dam Engineer and the Panel Leader. I reviewed the Design for
different dam types, like CFRD, RCC, Clay Core Rockfill Dams,
some of these dams are hydropower projects to generate energy and
others for irrigation, water supply and tourism.
I have reviewed the design for Rawanduz 10 Dam. It is a
conventional concrete hydropower structure of 28 MCM storage
capacity and 62 m height. Mandawa Dam which is CFRD
hydropower structure. Khewata Dam is a hydropower structure.
Siktan dam which is rockfill dam with clay core, it is for irrigation
purposes.
I have supervised the construction of Aquban dam which is a rockfill
dam with clay core, it is a dam of 25m heigh for irrigation purposes.
Shawger dam which a clay core rockfill dam, and sabna 2 rockfill
dam.

Client: Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources,
Sultanate of Oman
Position: Dams Design Engineer
Projects: Bani Kharous dam, Awabi dam, Thamid dam, Juwayf dam, khabb
dam, Dayqah dam, Salalah IG dam, Jarziz dam, Nahiz dam, Umti
dam, Kalboh dam, Sahtan dam, Zhaymi dam, Sareen dam, Ghalaji
dam, Al Khoud dam, Sur dam, Nafaah dam, Bani Omar dam, Darbat
dam, Jabal Al Akhdar Storage dams (more than 15 dams), Al Ais
dam and Jahawer dam and many other dams.
Duties Details:
My duties include inspecting, selecting the dams' sites, carrying out a
preliminary site investigation for the dams' foundation, quarries, borrow
areas and estimating the expected construction quantities and cost. As a dam
design engineer, I usually prepare the preliminary design, detailed design
reports, tender documents and drawings for the recharge and storage dams
that designed by the Ministry. It is part of my work to review the dams
design and tender documents for dams designed by other Consultants.
I already designed and reviewed the design for many dams like:
Earthfill Dams: Awabi dam, Sahtan Dam, Juwayf Dam, Zhaymi Dam,
Kalboh Dam, Ghalagi Dam, Sareen Dam and Salalah Interceptor Guard
Dam, Sur dam, Nafaah dam Wad Naam Dams (three dams).
Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dams: Umti Dam, Dayqah RCC
Dam, Jarziz Dam and Nahiz Dam, Al Khoud dam.
Rockfill Dams: Dayqah Saddle dam.
I supervised the construction of many dams in Oman and it is of my duties
also to propose suitable technical solutions for technical matters may arise
during construction and modify the design during construction based on the
actual foundation conditions.
I supervised the construction work for the following dams:
Bani Kharous Dam: Earthfill dam of storage capacity about 5 Million
cubic meters (MCM) and the construction cost is about US$ 9 Million.
Awabi Dam: Earthfill dam of 7m height and of 0.25 MCM storage capacity.
Thamid Dam: Concrete/Gabbions dam of 7m height and 0.06MCM storage
capacity.
Al Juwayf Dam: Earthfill dam of storage capacity about 3 MCM and
construction cost about US$ 2.5 Million.
Khabb Dam: Earthfill dam with storage capacity of 10 MCM and
construction cost about US$ 10 Million.
Dayqah RCC Dam : RCC dam of 70 m height, 75 MCM storage capacity
and about US$ 110 Million with the saddle dams.
Dayqah Saddle Dam : A Rockfill dam of 45 m height.
Salalah Interceptor Guard Dam: it is a large earthfill dam of 6500 m long,
23 m height and 77 MCM storage capacity and US$ 59 million construction
cost. The core of the dam is made of plastic concrete cutoff wall which
extend 17 m in the dam foundation.
My duties include inspecting dams' safety and evaluating the performance
for many existing dams, reviewing their design and their as built drawings
and propose the technical solutions for the arising technical problems.
I am participating in the weekly and monthly technical progress and
contractual meetings for the different dams' projects.
• From 2003 to 2004
Client : Dar Al Omran (Planners, Architects, Engineers)
Position: Site Engineer
Project: Al Quds Junction – Swaymah –Zara Road
Country: Jordan
Duties Details:
My duties included supervising all the activities of the Highway project,
such as, the earthworks, the concrete works (bridges, box and pipe culverts),
asphalt works and the service drainage works.
The construction cost is 12.6 Million JOD (US $ 17.7 Million).
The project included constructing the followings:
- 13 km Primary 4 – lanes divided highway.
- 4.5 km Service Road.
- Four bridges, three of them are post tensioning girders of 30 m total
length each.
- 18 Box culverts and 25 Pipes culverts.
• From 2002 to 2003
Client : Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) – Dams Department
Position: Studies and Design Review Engineer / Studies Section
Projects: Feedan dam, Rajib dam, Yabis dam, Kufranja dam, Al Wehdah
dam.
Country: Jordan
Duties Details:
My work included reviewing the design for many dams (Earthfill, Rockfill
and RCC) like, Kufranja Dam, Wadi Yabis Dam, Rajib Dam, Feedan Dam
and Al Wehdah Dam, and also inspecting the dam foundation, selecting the
dam type and carrying out preliminary site investigations for these dams.
Preparing the preliminary design and the estimated cost for many small
check dams, diversions and protection dams.
Member of the National Committee of Dam safety. My duties, as a member
of this committee, included inspecting the existing dams, evaluating their
structural stability and performance, inspecting the dam's body and its
appurtenant structures, reviewing the design and the as built drawings. I
inspected the safety for many existing large dams in Jordan, like Wadi Arab
Dam (Rock fill Dam), Karameh Dam (Earthfill Dam), Kafrein Dam
(Earthfill Dam), Shu’ib Dam (Earthfill Dam) and Ziglab dam (Earthfill
Dam), Sama Sarhan Dam (CFRD).
• From 1999 to 2002

Position: Assistant Project Manager
Project: Tannur Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dam
Country: Jordan
Duties Details:
My duties included supervising the dam construction in coordination with
the Consultant and participating in solving the technical matters, reviewing
the Contractor’s monthly certificates and quantities.
Tannur Dam is a Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dam. The construction
cost is (US $ 30 Million). Its storage capacity is 17 MCM; the dam height
is 64 m. The Dam project included the following works: Earthworks
(excavations 220,000 m3
, fill 320,000 m3
), RCC 215,000 m3
, Reinforced
Concrete 15,000 m3
, and Access Road of 3.5 km long.
• From 1998 to 1999
Client : Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) – Dams Department
Position: Site Engineer
Project: Karameh Dam
Country: Jordan
Duties Details:
As a site engineer, duties included supervising the dam's operation and
maintenance works for the first reservoir impounding and leaching the salty
reservoir and carrying out the rapid drawdown for the stored water (45
MCM) within 45 days and monitoring the reservoir behavior and its salinity
within this period.

Position: Site Engineer
Project: Karameh Dam Project
Country: Jordan
Duties Details:
My responsibilities included monitoring the grouting works, the
earthworks, the Instrumentation system and the dam behavior during
construction. The work included monitoring the dams' instrumentation
system and analyzing the instruments readings and surveying the work
quantities and certifying the Contractor's monthly certificates.
Karameh Dam is an Earthfill dam of 45m height and 55 MCM storage
capacity and the construction cost is US $ 73 Million. The dam included:
Earthwork (excavations 500,000m3
, fill 11,500,000m3
), Reinforced
Concrete 48000m3
, and access road of 4 km long.
• From 1993 to 1995, "Jordan University of Science and Technology – M. Sc.
Student". During this period I served as a part time Teaching Assistant. I
helped in teaching the following undergraduate courses: Fluid Mechanics
and Hydraulics Lab., Engineering Geology Lab., Sanitary Engineering
Lab., Sanitary Engineering, Water Resources, Soil Stabilization,
Engineering Geology, Material Science, Rock Mechanics.

KEY EXPERIENCE: Broad experience in infrastructure projects, i.e. Dams, Bridges, Highways, Water Channels, and Flood Protection Structures. Experience in site investigation works, grouting works, earth fill and embankments, slope stability analysis, hydraulic structures design and construction, planning, and tender documents preparation. I have worked in many different kinds of infrastructure projects in many countries, Jordan, Sultanate of Oman, Kurdistan (Iraq)and Saudi Arabia. Working tasks have varied from one project to another. I have worked as a site engineer, assistant project manager, quantities surveyor, operation and maintenance engineer for dams and dams designer in addition to reviewing the design for many, drilling and grouting works, I have carried out the geotechnical site investigation studies for many dams and roads.

The dam height is 70 m, length is 365m, and the reservoir storage capacity is about 68 MCM. • From 27 October 2013 to 16 April 2014 Client Consolidated Consultants Position Dam Engineer and Team Leader Project Panel For Design Review and construction Supervision of many Dams– Erbil-Kurdistan-Iraq A panel of experts in dam design and construction supervision is invited to review the design for many dams and in Kurdistan and to supervise the construction for many other dams in the region. I am the Dam Engineer and the Panel Leader. I reviewed the Design for different dam types, like CFRD, RCC, Clay Core Rockfill Dams, some of these dams are hydropower projects to generate energy and others for irrigation, water supply and tourism. I have reviewed the design for Rawanduz 10 Dam. It is a conventional concrete hydropower structure of 28 MCM storage capacity and 62 m height. Mandawa Dam which is CFRD hydropower structure. Khewata Dam is a hydropower structure. Siktan dam which is rockfill dam with clay core, it is for irrigation purposes. I have supervised the construction of Aquban dam which is a rockfill dam with clay core, it is a dam of 25m heigh for irrigation purposes. Shawger dam which a clay core rockfill dam, and sabna 2 rockfill dam. • From 8 April 2013 to 13 October 2013 Client: Bin Sammar Contracting Campany – Saudi Arabia Position: Project Manager Project: Aradah Dam. Projects: Bani Kharous dam, Awabi dam, Thamid dam, Juwayf dam, khabb dam, Dayqah dam, Salalah IG dam, Jarziz dam, Nahiz dam, Umti dam, Kalboh dam, Sahtan dam, Zhaymi dam, Sareen dam, Ghalaji dam, Al Khoud dam, Sur dam, Nafaah dam, Bani Omar dam, Darbat dam, Jabal Al Akhdar Storage dams (more than 15 dams), Al Ais dam and Jahawer dam and many other dams. Duties Details: My duties include inspecting, selecting the dams' sites, carrying out a preliminary site investigation for the dams' foundation, quarries, borrow areas and estimating the expected construction quantities and cost. As a dam design engineer, I usually prepare the preliminary design, detailed design reports, tender documents and drawings for the recharge and storage dams that designed by the Ministry. It is part of my work to review the dams design and tender documents for dams designed by other Consultants. I already designed and reviewed the design for many dams like: Earthfill Dams: Awabi dam, Sahtan Dam, Juwayf Dam, Zhaymi Dam, Kalboh Dam, Ghalagi Dam, Sareen Dam and Salalah Interceptor Guard Dam, Sur dam, Nafaah dam Wad Naam Dams (three dams). Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dams: Umti Dam, Dayqah RCC Dam, Jarziz Dam and Nahiz Dam, Al Khoud dam. Rockfill Dams: Dayqah Saddle dam. I supervised the construction of many dams in Oman and it is of my duties also to propose suitable technical solutions for technical matters may arise during construction and modify the design during construction based on the actual foundation conditions. I supervised the construction work for the following dams: Bani Kharous Dam: Earthfill dam of storage capacity about 5 Million cubic meters (MCM) and the construction cost is about US$ 9 Million. Awabi Dam: Earthfill dam of 7m height and of 0.25 MCM storage capacity. Thamid Dam: Concrete/Gabbions dam of 7m height and 0.06MCM storage capacity. Al Juwayf Dam: Earthfill dam of storage capacity about 3 MCM and construction cost about US$ 2.5 Million. Khabb Dam: Earthfill dam with storage capacity of 10 MCM and construction cost about US$ 10 Million.
  • 4. Dayqah RCC Dam : RCC dam of 70 m height, 75 MCM storage capacity and about US$ 110 Million with the saddle dams. Dayqah Saddle Dam : A Rockfill dam of 45 m height. Salalah Interceptor Guard Dam: it is a large earthfill dam of 6500 m long, 23 m height and 77 MCM storage capacity and US$ 59 million construction cost. The core of the dam is made of plastic concrete cutoff wall which extend 17 m in the dam foundation. My duties include inspecting dams' safety and evaluating the performance for many existing dams, reviewing their design and their as built drawings and propose the technical solutions for the arising technical problems. I am participating in the weekly and monthly technical progress and contractual meetings for the different dams' projects. • From 2003 to 2004 Client : Dar Al Omran (Planners, Architects, Engineers) Position: Site Engineer Project: Al Quds Junction – Swaymah –Zara Road Country: Jordan Duties Details: My duties included supervising all the activities of the Highway project, such as, the earthworks, the concrete works (bridges, box and pipe culverts), asphalt works and the service drainage works. The construction cost is 12.6 Million JOD (US $ 17.7 Million). The project included constructing the followings: - 13 km Primary 4 – lanes divided highway. - 4.5 km Service Road. - Four bridges, three of them are post tensioning girders of 30 m total length each. - 18 Box culverts and 25 Pipes culverts. • From 2002 to 2003 Client : Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) – Dams Department Position: Studies and Design Review Engineer / Studies Section Projects: Feedan dam, Rajib dam, Yabis dam, Kufranja dam, Al Wehdah dam. Country: Jordan Duties Details: My work included reviewing the design for many dams (Earthfill, Rockfill and RCC) like, Kufranja Dam, Wadi Yabis Dam, Rajib Dam, Feedan Dam and Al Wehdah Dam, and also inspecting the dam foundation, selecting the
  • 5. dam type and carrying out preliminary site investigations for these dams. Preparing the preliminary design and the estimated cost for many small check dams, diversions and protection dams. Member of the National Committee of Dam safety. My duties, as a member of this committee, included inspecting the existing dams, evaluating their structural stability and performance, inspecting the dam's body and its appurtenant structures, reviewing the design and the as built drawings. I inspected the safety for many existing large dams in Jordan, like Wadi Arab Dam (Rock fill Dam), Karameh Dam (Earthfill Dam), Kafrein Dam (Earthfill Dam), Shu’ib Dam (Earthfill Dam) and Ziglab dam (Earthfill Dam), Sama Sarhan Dam (CFRD). • From 1999 to 2002 Client : Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) Position: Assistant Project Manager Project: Tannur Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dam Country: Jordan Duties Details: My duties included supervising the dam construction in coordination with the Consultant and participating in solving the technical matters, reviewing the Contractor’s monthly certificates and quantities. Tannur Dam is a Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dam. The construction cost is (US $ 30 Million). Its storage capacity is 17 MCM; the dam height is 64 m. The Dam project included the following works: Earthworks (excavations 220,000 m3 , fill 320,000 m3 ), RCC 215,000 m3 , Reinforced Concrete 15,000 m3 , and Access Road of 3.5 km long. • From 1998 to 1999 Client : Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) – Dams Department Position: Site Engineer Project: Karameh Dam Country: Jordan Duties Details: As a site engineer, duties included supervising the dam's operation and maintenance works for the first reservoir impounding and leaching the salty reservoir and carrying out the rapid drawdown for the stored water (45 MCM) within 45 days and monitoring the reservoir behavior and its salinity within this period. • From 1995 to 1998 Client : Gibb Ltd.   • 6. Country: Jordan Duties Details: My responsibilities included monitoring the grouting works, the earthworks, the Instrumentation system and the dam behavior during construction. The work included monitoring the dams' instrumentation system and analyzing the instruments readings and surveying the work quantities and certifying the Contractor's monthly certificates. Karameh Dam is an Earthfill dam of 45m height and 55 MCM storage capacity and the construction cost is US $ 73 Million. The dam included: Earthwork (excavations 500,000m3 , fill 11,500,000m3 ), Reinforced Concrete 48000m3 , and access road of 4 km long. • From 1993 to 1995, "Jordan University of Science and Technology – M. Sc. Student". During this period I served as a part time Teaching Assistant.
