Statement of Teaching Interests
As an educator, I strive to provide my students with a structured framework that enables them to
fully engage with the content of the course and expand their knowledge and analytical abilities.
In my view, a great teacher must possess comprehensive knowledge, effectively deliver ideas, and
promote the beauty of the subject matter. I see myself as a guide, facilitator, and mentor, steering
students towards solutions, assisting them in finding answers, and ensuring their progress in the
right direction. To be an influential role model, I believe it is crucial for me to be well-versed in both
the academic and practical aspects of marketing.
There exists a fundamental distinction between a teacher knowing the material and successfully
conveying it in a way that students can understand. I believe in being an effective marketing teacher
by fostering student learning in three key areas:
1. Simplification: The real world is complex and constantly evolving, but we can find ways to
mitigate this complexity. A future leader should possess the ability to simplify problems,
eliminate unnecessary details, and extract relevant information from the facts and data they
encounter.
2. Application of Learned Skills: While the information may be fragmented, it is not isolated.
Students need to learn how to reconstruct information, identify connections among events,
and utilize the tools and skills they have acquired to approach, analyze, and solve problems.
3. Collaboration: Success hinges on cooperation. Students should learn to share information
with their peers, engage in discussions, and actively listen to others. Effective marketing

Lastly, while being an effective teacher is important, it is equally crucial to help students recognize
the importance of the course material. Many students enroll in courses because they are required
to, rather than out of personal interest. A good teacher should inspire students to actively participate
in the course and motivate them to explore additional materials. This is why promoting and
marketing the course holds a top priority in my teaching philosophy.
I am enthusiastic about teaching courses such as Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC),
Service Management, Digital Marketing, and other related subjects for both executive and regular
MBA students. Additionally, I am interested in teaching courses like Supply Chain Management,
Operations Management, and Report Writing for Ph.D. students.
I firmly believe that by actively seeking feedback from colleagues and students, I can identify areas
for improvement, refine my teaching abilities, and enhance the overall learning experience for my
students.
Statement of Research Interests
My research interests have been primarily centered around strategic social and digital marketing.
While traditional marketing methods aim to promote and sell goods or services, social marketing
focuses on influencing human behavior for the greater social good. It involves the integration of
marketing concepts with other approaches to drive positive behavioral changes that benefit
individuals and communities.
Currently, I am engaged in a research project that explores strategic social marketing approaches
and their relationship with the PESTLE environment analysis. This project seeks to uncover effective
strategies for promoting social causes and generating positive impact. Additionally, I have a keen
interest in the interplay between ethics and marketing practice, digital marketing, consumerism, and
advertising, and I am actively involved in ongoing research projects in these areas.
My core research interests lie in the domains of consumer behavior and advertising. Specifically, I
am intrigued by how consumers form judgments about various objects and events, and how these
judgments influence their actual behaviors. I am currently pursuing research projects on diverse
topics such as the marketing of startups in India, social media marketing, cryptocurrency marketing,
typologies of consumer purchase decisions, and the development of accreditation and ranking
frameworks for higher education institutions.
In the coming years, I have planned two major research directions. Firstly, I aim to stay updated on
emerging technologies, techniques, and processes in the field of marketing. I will actively seek out
creative applications that can lead to successful grant funding, support, and publications in esteemed
academic journals such as ABDC, Scopus, and Web of Science.
Secondly, I envision conducting future research on the sustainability of businesses in the context of

understand how businesses can adapt and thrive in a sustainable manner. This research will
contribute to the growing body of knowledge in the field and provide insights into the long-term
