Part of team setting up the engineering side of the airline. Established the airworthiness of
the 737 aircraft and organized all necessary work to bring them up to New Zealand required
standards.
Prior to operation, involved with the flight operations team in establishing operational
guidelines from the manufacturer's information and New Zealand Civil Aviation
requirements. Later set up equipment required for the operation at Auckland and arranged
services and familiarized of the staff with the aircraft and associated documentation.
When the operation began, worked as "tech. leading hand" responsible for the day to day
operation of the airline on engineering/operational matters.
