Synthesis and characterization of zno thin films deposited by chemical bath t...eSAT Journals
Abstract ZnO thin films have been deposited on silica glass substrate using the chemical bath deposition technique. The precursors used were zinc chloride and aqueous ammonia. The solution was stirred continuously with the help of a magnetic stirrer at a bath temperature of 70 oC and a deposition time of 70 minutes. The elemental composition and the surface morphology were studied using energy dispersive and scanning electron microscopy. The band gap was 2.72, 2.66, 2.60 eV for as-deposited, annealed at 200 oC and 300 oC respectively. There was a red shift in the band gap energy as the annealing temperature was increased. This might be due to an improvement in the crystallinity of the ZnO thin films. Index Terms: Zinc oxide, chemical bath, band gap, annealing
The document summarizes the synthesis and characterization of ZnO thin films deposited by chemical bath deposition technique. ZnO thin films were deposited on silica glass substrates in a chemical bath containing zinc chloride and ammonia at 70°C for 70 minutes. Elemental composition analysis using EDAX confirmed the formation of ZnO. SEM images showed the films had a nanorod morphology. The band gap was determined to be 2.72 eV for the as-deposited film and decreased to 2.66 eV and 2.60 eV for films annealed at 200°C and 300°C, respectively, due to improved crystallinity.

This document summarizes research on the optical properties of CdSe/ZnSe superlattice thin films deposited on a glass substrate using an electrodeposition technique. The films were characterized based on their absorbance, transmittance, reflectance, refractive index, extinction coefficient, dielectric constant, and band gap. The films showed low absorption in the visible and infrared regions, making them suitable for solar cell and optical applications. The high refractive index indicates potential as antireflection coatings. In conclusion, CdSe/ZnSe thin films prepared through electrodeposition exhibited optical properties useful for various device applications.
This document summarizes a study on modeling ablation phenomena during nanosecond pulsed electron beam processing of graphite thin films. A two-step one-dimensional thermal conduction model is used to model the heating, melting, and vaporization of the graphite target surface. The model calculates the temporal and spatial distribution of temperature in the target, as well as the ablated mass, depth, and receding velocity of the target surface per pulse. Results from the model agree well with experimental data and indicate that normal vaporization, not phase explosion, is the dominant thermal mechanism of ablation. The study provides insight into the ablation process and its effects on the composition and properties of deposited thin films during pulsed electron deposition.
Structure, Morphology & Infrared Spectroscopic Characterization of Ga (2x+2) ...IOSR Journals
This document summarizes a study that characterized the structure, morphology, and infrared spectroscopic properties of Ga(2x+2)NFe2(49-x)O3 ferrite synthesized using the sol gel technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to analyze the size, type of bonding, and surface properties between the compounds. The results agreed with previous literature. GaN was used as a dopant for x=1 and x=5 in the formula to introduce its semiconducting properties into the ferrite system and study the effects.
On the low temperature resistivity measurement of CdSe thin filmijtsrd
Most group II-VI compounds are direct band gap semiconductors with high optical absorption and emission coefficients .Cadmium Selenide is a leading candidate with high potential towards many applications. The authors present their investigations dealing with preparation and some electrical characterization of the CdSe thin films. The films were deposited onto a well-cleaned glass substrates using thermal evaporation technique. Structural and Surface Morphology Studies of Zinc Sulphide NanopowdersIRJET Journal
This document discusses the structural and morphological analysis of zinc sulfide (ZnS) nanopowders prepared by the control precipitation method. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to analyze the nanopowders. XRD analysis showed the nanopowders were polycrystalline with a cubic crystal structure. The average grain size was determined to be around 20nm using the Scherrer formula. SEM images revealed the nanopowders had a non-uniform morphology and grain size distribution. The nanopowders properties make them promising for applications in optoelectronics and electronics.
