Bezabih Tesfaye is Manager of BST Survey Solutions PLC, a renowned survey firm in Ethiopia, and an
experienced Survey Project Manager. He has 20 (twenty) years of experience with designing a research
strategy to collect data on project indicators in close consultation with the client, including survey
methodology and sampling; drafting survey instruments to collect empirical data, including quantitative
survey questionnaire, in-depth interview outlines and focus-group discussion guidelines; led fieldwork
activities to identify, recruit and train a team of survey enumerators and supervisors to conduct the
survey;and facilitated focus-group discussions in severalresearches,evaluations,and feasibility studies
for clients. He has demonstrated knowledge of human subject protections, privacy etc., and ability to

1. Teff Technology Baseline Survey mainly focuses on Evaluation of the different Teff
Production Technologies implemented by the “The Ethiopian Agricultural
Transformation Agency”. The Baseline Survey was conducted in Oromiya Region
in 9 Weredas and 36 kebeles [Nov - Dec 2012].
2. Agricultural Transformation Agency’s (ATA’s) baseline survey. The survey covers
100 weredas and 200 rural kebeles. The survey targeted 3000 farming households
as well as multi-purpose agricultural cooperatives found in each sample rural
kebele. The target of the survey is just to have a benchmark before the programs
of the ATA are going to be implemented. [2012]

Ababa. In the survey Supermarket owners, Whole sellers, Micro sellers of food
commodities, like: cereals, vegetables, edible oils and other processed foods were
interviewed. [2012]

(Shashemene, Dodota,Adama And bako) in Ormoiya Regional State.[Jan 2011 –

6. Experimental research entitled “Aspirations and Wellbeing Outcomes In Ethiopia.”
The activities had unique characters that require thorough care. In each Sampling
villages we had to list the HHs and build our sample, then categorizing the sampled
HHs in to control and experimental groups based on the pre-defined and agreed
way. The different groups are invited to film shows (Documentary and
entertainment). Immediately after the show post treatment interviews are
conducted. The survey had a challenging nature because of its time dependent
nature. The Survey isone of the rare typesin the world and the first in the country.
We covered 64 villages in this survey.

attended by the young lives children or their siblings. The survey had different
instruments like teacher tests, Principal interview, class room observation, School
