Project : Core Banking Solution of one of the Large Nationalized Reputed Bank’s
Data Center.
Role : System Administrator – Middleware (WAS and WMQ).
Duration : From 10 Feb 2015 to Till Date.
Responsibilities:
1. WAS:-
 Installation, configuration, maintenance, administration, clustering & troubleshooting
of WebSphere Application Sever v7 & ND8.
 Effectively involve in Problem analysis and solving skill with Application team.
 Checking JVM status Heap size, garbage collection, JDBC pool in Websphere Application
Server environment.
 Checking the disk space of Application server deployed on drive or mount point space.
 Troubleshooting like data sources testing, file permissions, maintaining logs, taking backups of
exported Ear’s.
 We take backup config for deployment manager. & restore config dmgr profile.
 Configured WebSphere resource for database ( JDBC, Data source).
 Documentation of regular issues.
 Checking the Application status on deployed on WebSphere Application server.
 Application deployment in the test environment everyday. Almost everyday this is a
new version of ear being released. The application are update or deployed using the
admin console.
 SSL security between client webserver and application server and generate Self Signed
and Signed Certificate through ikeyman.
 WAS patch up-gradation as per client Requirement.
 24/7 on call support for production environment.

2. 2. WAS MQ:-
 Develop and maintain configuration manuals, procedure manuals and standards for
WebSphere MQ.
 Installation, configuration, maintenance, administration, clustering and troubleshooting
of WebSphere MQ v7.
 Creation of Queue Manager, Queue, Cluster of Queue Manager Queue and Channels in
Production Server.
 Checking the MQ Services, Check Cluster Services, Check Physical Cluster Status.
 Checking Queue manager events, Qmanager Status, Command Server Status, Connection Status,
Check Refresh Interval, Listener Status, Qmanager Logs, Error Logs, FFDC log Check.
 Checking Channels Events, Channel Name,Channel Status, Channel Type, Keep Alive Interval,
 Checking Queue Events Queue Depth, Msg Flow Response, MQ Server Connectivity from
Client (telnet Response),Check MSG flow response.
 Performing DC-DR Drill as per Bank Requirement.
 Change the IP address of the Channels as per Bank Requirement.
 Taking backup & recovery of Qmanager using saveqmgr.exe. and perform operation in
MQ using qload cmd.
 24/7 on call support for production environment.
