Duties and Responsibilities include:
Implementation of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance during C Checks of above
aircraft on Base maintenance and supporting Line operations when required.
Ensuring all work in area of responsibility is performed within the company’s MOE and
to the required safety and quality standards promoting continued airworthiness.
Instructions, assistance and performing troubleshooting in accordance with FIM/TSM.
Working with AMOS/TRAX creating NRC’s for defects with required solutions.
Structural inspections, evaluation of damage and implication of repairs with the SRM.
Assisting technicians with composite and sheet metal repairs.
Liaising with engineering when damage’s are out of limits with viable repair solutions.
Leading and organising mechanics on major jobs i.e. engine change, gear change.
The lead B1 responsible for the A320 rear-spar corrosion SB. In charge of a team of
NDT, Mech’s, Avionics and Structural technicians ensuring job completion in accordance
with the service bulletin and within the required time scale.
Responsible for ensuring correct paperwork and qualifications for CRS of aircraft.

2. Jan 95 - Aug 09: Unlicensed Aircraft Mechanic/Sheet Metal Technician.
On contract at various locations in Europe for major MRO’s and Airlines providing
support on Base Maintenance A-D Checks, line maintenance, repairs, SB’s and
modifications, cargo conversion programmes and aircraft crash recovery.
Airlines and MRO’s worked for include: Aero Lloyd, Braathens Technik, British Airways,
Dornier, Fokker, FLS Aerospace, Jet Aviation, LTU, Lufthansa Technik, Maersk,
Ruag Aerospace, Shannon Aerospace, 328 Jet Support.

Major structural project on an Gulfstream 550 converting it into an weather research
aircraft (HALO). The re-build and conversion for the Dutch Coastguard of two Dornier
228 aircraft at Ruag Aerospace, Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.
Also work on VIP/Business aircraft including pax to vip conversion, scheduled
maintenance, cabin re-configuration, SB’s and modifications.

Completed a credited four year aircraft fitter apprenticeship which included training to
achieve the qualification of an aircraft mechanic, sheet metal technician and basic
avionics.
Production and flight-line maintenance of Bae 146/RJ and Bae ATP aircraft including
major component installation and testing. Fuselage section to section completion.
College curriculum included: aircraft systems, aircraft materials and manufacturing.
