Worked in heavy check and mod shop. Performed RVSM AND TANS installations to meet FAA
mandates.

Aircraft maintenance performed: DC-8, DC-9, and MD-80 airframe.
I w as instrumental in creating changes to the RVSM installation procedure that reduced total
installation hours by 35%.

Perf ormed 58 CFM-56 engine changes under contract f rom Emery World Wide Airlines.
Perf ormed line maintenance and replaced time control items such as engine fire bottles,
extinguishers, etc. in order to bring DC-8 aircraft back to ready-flight-status.

Troubleshooting and repairs of B-727, DC-8, and DC-10 aircraft, mechanical, avionics, and
electrical systems.
Perf ormed B-check inspections and military aircraft charter inspections on DC-8 aircraft.
Worked extensively on installations and operational checkout of the first DC-8 remote
smoke detection system for low er cargo compartments.

including installation/replacement of wire runs.

the circuit card level.
Perf ormed extensive soldering and replacement of switches, rheostats, servo drive motors,
etc. in the repair of communication and navigation control units.
