Joshua Currington introduces himself and describes how growing up in a large family with 15 siblings shaped him. He was often sick as a child and had to spend time indoors, feeling lost among his talented siblings. This drove him to find his own skill in 3D arts. He developed a strong work ethic from his mother, who taught him to never give up and do any job thoroughly. Currington prides himself on his adaptability, diligence, and drive to succeed. He provides examples of his 3D modeling, animation, and other works to demonstrate his talents and passion for the field.

This document is the senior speech of Amber Herrington about her experience becoming a hitting instructor. [1] Herrington struggled as a right-handed hitter and switched to left-handed hitting on the advice of her coach, which improved her game. [2] She chose to become a hitting instructor for her senior project and worked with Chance Cain to teach a student, Brooke, how to bunt and slap from the left side. [3] Herrington learned about patience, time management, and adapting to different learning styles through this experience.
The document discusses Jajuan Butts' use of different social media platforms. For Instagram, Jajuan notes it can be public or private and that some users add anyone to increase followers, so he watches what he posts. For Snapchat, Jajuan says it is private as only friends can see videos and it allows messaging, calling and blocking people. For Facebook, Jajuan keeps it most private by only friending real life connections and uses it to share personal successes with friends and family.

Essential things that should always be in your carEason Chan
A driver can bail out of a lot of sticky situations if he plans ahead. More often than not, things go south on you when you think nothing could go wrong. So it pays to hope for the best and plan for the worst, especially on the road. Here are some things that should always be kept in your car for all those just in case moments.
What happens when the digital tools and platforms we make and use for communication and entertainment are hijacked for terrorism, violence against the vulnerable and nefarious transactions? What role do designers and developers play? Are we complicit as creators of these technologies and products? Should we police them or fight back? As Portfolio Lead for Northern Lab, Northern Trust's internal innovation startup focused on client and partner experience, Antonio will share a mix of provocative scenarios torn from today's headlines and compelling stories where activism and technology facilitated peace—and war.
As a call-to-action for designers and developers to engage in projects capable of transformational change, he'll explore the question: How might technology foster new experiences to better accelerate social activism and make the world a smarter, safer place?

If you have one full time community manager for social media on your campus, you're lucky! For most, creating content for Twitter and Facebook is usually an add on to a staff member’s already full plate. And as we all work hard to create engaging content and be responsive,
we sometimes have to take on weekend work to tackle that irate Saturday afternoon post. Because if you ignore it until Monday morning, it is too late or perhaps will, by then, turn into a volatile situation!
For most, the model of stretching current staff to manage social media won't work for the long haul. Absent funding for more positions, what do you do?
Enter the secret sauce. Students. The key is to harness their eagerness and stories so you wind up with authentic content and real time interactions. But, how? This session will highlight success stories from the best case studies education has to offer and provide tangible ways to motivate, train, and trust your student workers or volunteers.

Work
Samples:
The
(irst
two
animations
were
done
in
my
very
(irst
3D
class.
I
had
never
touched
a
3D
software
package
before.
We
were
given
a
month
to
storyboard,
model,
rig,
animate,
light
and
render
everything
in
the
scene.
I
was
able
to
do
that
and
then
to
complete
another
animation
with
the
same
specs,
yet
of
a
better
quality.
I
received
perfect
marks
in
the
class.

These
models
you
see
here
were
from
the
modeling
class
that
I
had
next.
We
were
tasked
with
creating
props
for
two
sets,
laying
out
UV’s
for
a
third
set
and
(inally
we
were
required
to
model
an
entire
set.
I
completed
the
(irst
3
assignments
in
the
(irst
week
and
a
half
and
took
my
time
on
the
(inal
assignment.
I
also
received
perfect
marks
in
this
class
and
an
award
form
the
Course
Director
for
Excellence
and
helping
the
rest
of
my
classmates
with
all
of
their
props
and
set
as
well.

This here was a prop model that I did for another class. This was done in another new 3D
package that we were given in school.

Animation is my passion and has been since I was 8 years old. I love being able to take
inanimate objects and give them life. I feel that animation is the life blood of the CGI
industry. Granted many other disciplines are important, animation is the key to it all. Without
life like animation, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy many of the films that we enjoy today.

Success
De:ined:
I
started
my
journey
with
the
hope
of
one
day
starting
my
own
animation
studio.
That
is
where
I
want
to
end
up
once
I
retire
from
the
industry.
But
that
won’t
be
for
many
years.
Right
now,
my
dream
is
to
be
an
animator
for
DreamWorks
Animation
SKG.
They’ve
produced
some
of
the
best
works
in
CGI
(ilms.
Films
that
I
love
and
to
this
day,
still
watch.
Working
with
them
is
what
I
will
do.
There
is
no
question
about
that.
