The Language Leaders Award program provides young language learners with opportunities to develop their language skills, teaching skills, and self-confidence. Over the course of a year, students learn about language pedagogy, plan and deliver their own language lessons to younger students, and receive feedback from their teacher. The goal is for students to gain 25-30 hours of experience developing and teaching language lessons, culminating in independently teaching a one-hour language lesson and receiving the Language Leaders Award.
