Work experience
January 2015 – March 2015 – Research Assistant at Zimbabwe Council for Tourism (ZCT)
The main duties performed were research on problems and solutions of the tourism
industry. I carried out administrative duties and gained an appreciation on the
importance of time management in an organisation and how one should act diligently
when carrying out a task. Coordination of organisational activities was also an aspect
derived from this experience.
October 2013 – August 2014 – Assistant reservationist and tourism operations coordinator for

Main duties were making and taking of bookings, sorting out transfer logistics, meet and
greet of tourists, organizing the following days schedule, allocating drivers to their
duties, marketing of the tourism product and ensuring vehicle documentation was up to
2. date. This role exposed me to the pressures of the work environment and how to handle
them. Due to these pressures I was able to learn independence when carrying out
certain company duties and how to manage on the job conflicts. Good planning and
organisation were also derived from this experience.
May 2008 – July 2008 – Research Assistant at Empretec Zimbabwe
Duties were to carry out administrative tasks and to research on strategies to improve
entrepreneur success in Zimbabwe. It was a mind opening experience as it helped in
developing business and entrepreneur skills. I got a better understanding on leadership
skills as I was in constant interaction with decorated business men and women.
January 2008 – April 2008 –Administrative assistant at Buds and Bloom florists
This was my first stint as an employee and it helped me improve my outlook on the
importance of employee commitment and how this translates to organizational
success.
Achievements
Carried out research on the negative effects of 15% V.A.T on accommodation facilities in
Zimbabwe’s tourism industry and presented the findings to portfolio committee. This
was done at Zimbabwe council for tourism.
Completed the Entrepreneurship Development Workshop conducted by Empretec
Zimbabwe.
Completed the financial literacy workshop conducted by Old Mutual.
