A co. 3-1 Assault Helicopter Battalion Fort Riley, KS
Plans air assault missions to ensure overall mission success. Responsible for every phase of the
operation from weather, terrain, and enemy analysis, to administrative and training requirements that
facilitate up to 10 aircraft. Constantly checking compliance with local aviation rules, as well as
governing laws. Trains crew to function at an expert level in an austere environment. Specialized
technical expert, and advisor to higher command on all phases and functions of an air assault team.
Responsible for direct reporting, health, training, and morale of up to 13 junior staff members.
•Created a new safety equipment program for 3-1 AHB which was adopted at brigade level; resulted in
zero lost time work injuries during my tenure
•150 Flight hours during day, night, and instrument metrological conditions. Proficient on all
communications and navigations equipment for the UH-60M
