Officially stationed in Europe from 2005 – 2010.
• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical
flight controls and their components.
• Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems as part of the operational plan to ensure 100% availability of all
aircraft.
• Performs scheduled inspections; drafts project plans for maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Installs new security, communications, navigation and transponder components in addition to new / upgraded and
flight control systems.
• Executes operational checks on all helicopters and support equipment; collaborates with other technicians in
diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required.
• Identifies the proper procedures and techniques for handling maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground
support equipment.
• Documents all maintenance and repair products, keeping an individual log for each helicopter that details work
performed and schedule date for next inspection.
• Maintained, repaired and installed armament systems and associated weapons on the AH-64D aircraft.
• Conducted inventory control for parts and components; submitted purchase orders for new equipment and tools as
necessary.
• Assists in the training of junior mechanics.
• Served as part of a Downed Aircraft Recovery Team while serving in Iraq.
• Supervised personnel in aircraft maintenance activities
• Planned flight schedules for training and combat missions
• Attended Production Control meetings, reporting directly to Production Control Officers
