Requirements-
Chemicals-
1. Pure 1 g of Curcumin
2. Ethanol
3. Distilled water
Apparatus-
1. Beaker, Weighing balance
2. Pipette, Test tubes etc.
Procedure-
1. Clean all apparatus accurately
2. Accurately weight 2mg of curcumin and added into 6 mL of ethanol in test tube then
shake the solution. Make up the volume upto 10 mL by adding Distilled water.
3. Take 1 mL from above solution in another test tube and make up the volume upto 10 mL
by adding Distilled water.
4. Again take 1 mL from above solution in another test tube and make up the volume upto
10 mL by adding Distilled water. By using above procedure make further 3 dilution so, 5
dilutions was prepared.

Experiment No.1
3. Procedure-
1. Clean all apparatus accurately
2. Accurately weight 5mg of curcumin and added into 3 mL of ethanol in test tube then
shake the solution.
Calculation-
Dilutions code Concentration of Drug Content %
A 50%
B 5%
C 0.5%
D 0.05%
E 0.005%
Dilution Factor- 10 for dilution A: 5/10 X 100=50%
