Binc’s Mission to Mars

Inspired by Jim Collins’s “Aligning Action and Values” blog.
Five employees from Binc’s three
locations, representing various functions
in the company, were elected by their
peers.
They had a few virtual meetings leading
up to a full day in a conference room.
They started with some words on a
whiteboard, collaborated in a Google doc
and ended with what follows.
They looked at not only the Binc of the
past and the current Binc, but also the
Binc of the future.
Setting the stage . . .
1. Mission - the [short] three sentence description of Binc.
Memoriz-able.
2. Values - what we live by.
3. Attributes - the words that define us. The Binc DNA.

Tango. Binc is much larger. It’s a vision, it’s a mission,

Know thy client, know thy candidate,

● It’s our mission to ensure we know our clients.
Everything from their roles and process to the little
nuances and what makes them tick.
● The same can be said for our candidates. We know
why they’re looking, what their perfect role is and how
to help them get that role.
● Be aware of yourself - play up your strengths, learn
from your mistakes.
Share when you know, ask when you don’t
● ABL - Always be Learning.
● We want an environment where Binc’ers are
constantly learning from one another. You should
never have to BS an answer, if you don’t know
something ask. If you do know something, share.

What we do isn’t easy, but it sure is fun!
● We work our butts off and go above and beyond to
ensure we succeed on our projects. We set up
interviews on Saturdays, close deals on Sundays and
don’t stop until the ball drops on New Years Eve.
● But… even with this hard work, we know how to have
fun. We make jokes, go on picnics and bowling and
rent giant pink party busses.
