Several specific CBS are described in detail, including koro (genital retraction syndrome), dhat syndrome, hwa-byung, ataque de nervios, and brain fag. The document examines the proposed causes and key symptoms of each syndrome and notes their typical cultural contexts. In total, over 20 different CBS are referenced from cultures around the world.
