The Turkish students in an Erasmus+ project chose to focus on cultural heritage by having their students learn to make traditional knitted washcloths and embroidered towels. They planned to teach students how to knit washcloths, which were historically included in dowries, and embroider towels using traditional patterns from Bursa, though the skills are less common now. The students would then send samples of these handicrafts to their partners in Italy to share aspects of Turkish cultural heritage.
