This document provides information and exercises on reported speech (also known as indirect speech) in English. It discusses the rules for changing pronouns, demonstratives, tenses, and other elements when changing a statement from direct to reported speech. The pronunciation of "-ed" endings is also covered. The second half consists of 50 exercises where the reader must change direct speech statements into the corresponding reported speech versions. The goal of the document is to help learners properly use reported speech by providing explanations of its grammatical rules and practicing applying those rules to transform direct speech into reported forms.
