1. FK TEPLICE – MORE THAN FOOTBALL…
CSR report 2021/2022
2. Foreword
„I am extremely happy that we can present you our CSR report for the 2021/22 season. We became
essentially the very first football club in the Czech Republic to publish its own comprehensive CSR
report in this way.
Social responsibility has long been an integral part of the club's strategic management. Our goal is to
be a role model and inspiration for other domestic sports clubs in this area. The release of our first
CSR report represents another pivotal step on our journey.
At the same time, I am extremely happy that in addition to the many awards we receive for our
diverse CSR activities, whether it was the LFA Awards for CSR for the seasons 2019/20, 2020/21,
2021/2022 or 1st place for the Czech Republic in the prestigious Responsiball rankings, our efforts are
increasingly appreciated by our fans and the general public. I would like to thank all of you who also
actively support us in this effort in many ways.“
Rudolf Řepka LL.M. CEO of FK Teplice
3. Introduction
• Social responsibility has long been an integral part of FK Teplice's strategic management and at the
same time the club management considers it one of the most effective ways to develop
relationships with key stakeholders. This fact is relatively much determined by the philosophy of
the majority owner, the Japanese glass group AGC.
• „AGC Group sees its support for Teplice football as an integral part of its regional social
responsibility.“
Libor Sehnal – HR Director of AGC Glass Czech
• „We are aware of our position as the largest sports club in Teplice and at the same time one of the
most important in the Ústí Region, which we want to use in the long term for social responsibility,
including actively contributing to positive social changes in the region and being an inspiring
example for those around us.“
Pavel Šedlbauer – Chairman of the Board FK Teplice
4. CSR and strategic management of
the club
• The club's strategic approach to CSR is reflected in all areas of management, from organizational
structures (including the position of the club's CSR manager), the method of monitoring and
evaluating CSR to comprehensive communication about CSR activities. CSR is very strongly
emphasized in the main club values and the club's vision.
• The very mission of the club is: „To be a respected football club not only on the field, but also off it.“
• Club's purpose is: "To be a respected football club, not only on the pitch but also off it."
• Club CSR policy has the motto "FK Teplice - More than football" and it mainly supports social
projects, which are most often targeted at local communities, especially children and young people,
disabled and sick citizens, families, the elderly and the general public.
5. Public awards
• For its diverse CSR activities, the club has also been awarded a number of important public awards
(eg three times the LFA Award in the CSR category, Ústí Region Governor's Award).
• In addition, in 2021 the club was evaluated to be the best Czech club in the prestigious
RESPONSIBALL ranking which is evaluated by the renowned Swiss organization Schwery
Consulting, which also deals with CSR certification, while FK Teplice also received the CSR 2022
Label from it.
6. Club values and codes of ethics
• Within the "yellow-blue family", the club during 2021/22 season sought to build on the ongoing
efforts to promote the values it considers central, not least on football pitch.
• It is mainly about honesty and acting in a spirit of fair play, solidarity and team spirit. respect,
tolerance and correctness towards the opponent or modesty and absence of Prima donna manners.
• The club defined these key moral values in detail within the framework of the accepted ethical
codes and principles of FK Teplice members, not only towards its players or coaches, but also, for
example, towards the parents of its youth players.
7. Transparency
• The club, with its transparent functioning in all areas of its activity, strives to actively contribute to
the positive image of football in the Czech Republic in the long term.
• During 2021/22 season FK Teplice has further expanded and clarified all information about its CSR
activities on its website, resp. it concentrated them in the main section "More than football".
• Apart from CSR activities for each season it is possible to find information about the FKT
Endowment Fund here.
8. Transparency
• An integral part of it is the CSR strategy or codes of ethics of the club or there are also presented in
detail the organizations with which it cooperates in CSR projects.
At the same time, it is possible to find strategic CSR initiatives by FIFA and UEFA.
• There are also subsections "write to us" and "to whom you can currently help", which seeks to
involve the club's stakeholders and the general public in supporting CSR activities in the region.
• In the 2021/22 season, the club also included the important international CSR initiative Responsiball
or the Environmental Sustainability and CSR reporting components in this section.
9. CSR assessment
• The club uses a number of modern analytical tools to evaluate the fulfillment of CSR goals.
• In addition to regular surveys among club employees, partners or fans, modern multi-dimensional
CSR assessment models have been introduced, following the example of successful Western
European clubs, which allow a comprehensive assessment of the club's CSR activities.
• The club mainly used The Performance Prism model to evaluate its CSR activities for the 2021/21
season.
• It also tries to take into account other hidden elements affecting the performance of sports
organizations, highlighting in particular the role of key stakeholders for their successful functioning.
• In addition, the Global reporting initiative (GRI) international reporting methodology was used to
create the CSR report.
10. CSR strategy
• With set goals in the field of CSR and their subsequent evaluation, our club strives to reflect all its
key stakeholders. Their expectations are not only included in the club's strategic management
documents (including the CSR plan), but also outline the ways to their effective implementation and
evaluation.
• During 2021/22 season the management of our club addresses each of our key stakeholders with
the following key questions:
• What are the expectations and requirements of individual stakeholders in relation to our club?
• Does our club have appropriate strategies to meet stakeholder expectations?
• Do established strategies support the implementation of strategies?
• Do we have the skills and resources to support the strategy?
11. CSR targets

the Ústí nad Labem region

13. CSR activities
• In the 2021/2021 season, the club carried out dozens of other CSR activities.
• Projects include a project for visually impaired fans from the Ústí Region, which was implemented
in cooperation with the Czech Radio Endowment Fund and Radiožurnál as part of a spring domestic
match with Sparta.
• Not only did the fans and their entourage have free admission to this match, but Radiožurnál's
sports commentators directly from Stínadla provided them with a special commentary, which was
much more descriptive of the "classic" radio broadcast of football matches
14. FK Teplice and supporting surrounding
communities
• Our club is aware of the position of the largest sports club in Teplice and also one of the most
important in the Ústí nad Labem region and also strives for continuous active contribution to
positive social change in the region, to be an inspiring example for its surroundings
respectively.
• In more than seventy years of its existence, our football club has become much more than just
a symbol of football. It has become an important entity in our region, which allows people to
identify not only with the club, but also with the Teplice and Podkrušnohorský region as such.
• We very much appreciate the fact that our club is still considered a community club in today's
globalized world, also because most of our fans live in its immediate vicinity and are attached
to it by a very strong emotional bond.
15. FK Teplice and supporting surrounding
communities
• At the same time, we are aware of the relatively exceptional influence of FK Teplice towards
the surrounding communities, which can be effectively used both to strengthen internal
integration in the communities and to their overall development.
• We are particularly aware of this fact towards the Ústí nad Labem region, where our club
operates. It is a region facing many challenges, both environmental and especially social.
• We are convinced that this strategic effort of ours not only contributes to the more successful
and sustainable operation of the club, but also helps to solve a number of the above-
mentioned social problems, especially in the Ústí Region.
• In particular, we develop CSR programs in the community area, addressing as a matter of
priority those issues that have the greatest potential to bring shared value to both the
surrounding society and our club.
16. FK Teplice endownment fund
• In order to direct the activities in the area of social responsibility even more effectively, the
club established its FK Teplice Endowment Fund in 2020, which became the flagship of the
club's CSR activities.
• Through it, it is increasingly trying to help dozens of individuals or non-profit organizations,
especially in Teplice and the Ústí nad Labem region.
• The great advantage of the FKT Endowment Fund is that it helps really quickly where it is
really needed. In doing so, it uses its close multilateral cooperation in the field of CSR with a
number of regional and local charitable and non-profit organizations, resp. relatively
comprehensive overview of the needs of the environment.
