2. Corporate social responsibility is a voluntary
contribution of the Bank to the development of
society and business in the social, economic and
environmental spheres, directly related to the core
business of the Bank and carried out mainly in
addition to the obligations defined by the
legislation of the Republic of Belarus
3. Activities in the field of CSR :
• responsible practice in relation to shareholders,
• customers and business partners;
• responsible personnel practices;
• fair business practice;
• environmental protection and management of its
own
• environmental impact;
• charity and volunteering.
4. Further integration of the principles of CSR into the Bank’s activities will contribute to:
• improving the efficiency of its management system;
• development of interaction with shareholders and other
stakeholders and increase confidence in
Bank on their part;
• encourage management to implement
modern management technologies and innovations,
which ultimately will have a positive effect on
business competitiveness;
• improved impact management
Bank’s activities on social and environmental
components of society;
• strengthening corporate culture and enhancing
loyalty of Bank employees;
• disseminating CSR principles in the business community
of the republic.
5. Implementing the basic principle of corporate social
responsibility - openness and transparency of activities - the
Bank regularly informs a wide circle of interested parties in an
understandable form for them about the most significant aspects
of its activities in the field of corporate social responsibility and
planned decisions. The Bank actively interacts with key
stakeholders (authorities and government, shareholders,
customers, investors and employees of the Bank) in the
decision-making process and the implementation of the CSR
Strategy. The basis of the Bank’s customer policy is a long-term
partnership, mutually beneficial cooperation and an individual
approach to each client based on a balanced combination of
service quality, business processes and quality of the products
and services offered, and maximizing the potential of the client
6. The foundation of the BelVEB Bank's client base is large
enterprises and organizations, widely known both in the
Republic of Belarus and abroad, carrying out economic
activities in the production and export of finished products
and raw materials, transport, energy, agriculture,
construction and trade.
7. The increase in the volume of attracted funds of legal
entities and individual entrepreneurs in 2017 was due to
clearly set targets for corporate business services to
increase the resource base of corporate clients, to take
measures during the year to improve the quality of
customer service and increase sales efficiency of banking
products, to keep working optimization and expansion of
the Bank’s product line for corporate clients. The reduction
of the resource base in foreign currency was a
consequence of the implementation by the National Bank
of the Republic of Belarus of a set of measures aimed at
further de-dollarization of the economy.
