Wibree is a wireless technology introduced by Nokia for connecting small, low-power devices like watches and sensors to mobile phones and computers. It uses very low amounts of power, allowing devices to run for over a year on a button cell battery. Wibree has a range of 10 meters and transmits data at 1 megabit per second, making it 10 times more energy efficient than Bluetooth. Its ultra-low power consumption and small chip size make it well-suited to power constrained devices and open up applications for wireless healthcare monitoring and consumer products.
