to touch uninsulated pipes or vessels containing
cryogenic liquids.
3. Cryogenic liquids flow very freely and can penetrate woven
or other porous clothing much faster than water. Therefore,
• Wear a lab apron
• Wear non-absorbent, closed-toed shoes
• Wear pants without cuffs
4. Exposure to these cold gases, which is too brief to affect the skin of the
face or hands, may affect delicate tissues, such as the eyes.
