Legal Issues Over The Separate Commercial Contracts
In the scenario which has been presented the legal issues that have arisen relate to three separate
commercial contracts which have been entered into. Different legal issues have affected each
contract but on the whole there are three main elements which can be identified, these being, of
breach of contract, frustration of contract and a failure with regard to the perfect tender rule,
mitigated by substantial performance. Each contract will be considered separately using legislation
and relevant case law to come to a determination as to what remedies are available in relation to
each of the contracts in question. After considering each contract a conclusion will be drawn as to
the legal position regarding each of the contracts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the Act also provides that where a party has incurred expenses before the time of

so that party may be entitled to retain the whole or part of the amount paid provided that this does
amount not exceed any expenses that were incurred. Martha, an events planner has entered into a
contract with the owner of a venue Lafreau estate where it was her intention to stage a ball. An
important element of the contract involved the hire of a large tent and the tropical gardens where it
was intended to install the tent as a venue for the ball dinner. However, heavy rainfall leading up to
the event has rendered the garden waterlogged resulting in the ground becoming incapable of
supporting the tent. The venue owners, therefore, have inform ed Martha of the situation implying
that they will be unable to perform their obligation to supply the tent or the hire of the garden. An
anticipatory breach such as this entitles the innocent party to sue immediately or to await
performance. It appears from the facts that the estate owners have received a

There Is No Magic For Good Legal Research
There is no magic to good legal research. There is no specific one way to research effectively. The
key is simply being knowledgeable enough about the sources so that that one can use them to locate
the relevant law efficiently and effectively.
Before beginning research, one needs to spend time brainstorming the problem. Reading the facts,
ascertaining the subject matter, and noting the preliminary issues to be researched are the basic
things to be done.
To begin with a legal research first the identification of method and type of legal study is
necessary. Then the material for research is necessary. The research material must relevant and as
per the context of the problem. The primary secondary source as well as the research design is ...

Research is the systematic process of collecting and analyzing information to increase our
understanding of the phenomenon under study.2 We can say that:
Research is what we do when we have a question or a problem we want to resolve
It seems like we already know the answer to the questions
We may think that the answer is obvious and even common sense
But until we have analysed our problem to some scientific research, our knowledge remains little
more than guesswork only. For a broader view the terms of research can be seen as:
R : Rational way of thinking
E : Expert and exhaustive treatment
S : Search and solution
E : Exactness
1 Oxford Concise Dictionary 2 S P Simpson Ruth Field, Law and the Social Sciences
4 | P a g e
A : Analysis
R : Relationship of facts
C : Critical observation, Careful planning, Constructive attitude and Condensed generalization
H : Honesty and Hard working
A combined reading of all the above mentioned explanations of the term research reveals that
research is the careful, diligent and exhaustive investigation of a specific subject matter with a view
to knowing the truth and making original contribution in the existing stock of knowledge.

Louise Mallard s Epiphany
A life with no creative outlet or freedom of expression is arguably no life at all. The model
Victorian woman is one who does not even have these basic rights. She is expected to devote her
entire existence to her family and run the household that her husband owns. This ideal woman is
supposed to have minimal care for her own ideas, curiosities, and emotions; leaving her unable to
express her creativity or intellect. Kate Chopin s The Story of an Hour discusses the awakening,
the realization of her freedom and potential to express herself, of the main character, Louise
Mallard. Mrs. Mallard has been repressed by her husband for the greater part of their marriage,
therefore leaving her bereft of expression and personal enjoyment, as an ideal... Show more content

The quintessence of irony within the story is Louise s death after discovering her presumably
dead husband is alive, which would perpetuate her miserable life. When Brently returns home,
Louise, dumbstruck at this inexplicable event, has a heart attack and dies. Her extreme reaction to
Brently s startling arrival proves that she is extremely distraught at his appearance; if she felt any
less passionately about her newfound freedom she would have still been alive. Assuming that
Louise passed due to the joyous surprise, doctors proclaimed that, she had died of heart disease of
the joy that kills (Chopin par. 20). This statement contradicts the reality of the situation her
newfound feelings of freedom obtained through her awakening are seized from her instantaneously,
therefore leaving her in distress. Unlike most married women, who would be incredibly thankful
and astonished to have their husband back from the grave, she was perturbed that her husband
returns alive because the free life that she looked forward to was brutally taken away from her in
her eyes. The meticulous and unique description of the last few minutes of Louise s life

Mercantilism Dbq
Mercantilism
Economics in the seventeenth and eighteenth century were dominated by the idea of mercantilism.
Mercantilism depended on the cooperation between colony and mother country in the shipping and

activity within the country and decreased France s dependence on foreign trade. The success of a
Mercantile system relied on the government, participating merchants, even nobility and the working

France s King Louis XIV played a hugely important role in the success of mercantilism. Louis XIV

In 1669 France only held five hundred to 600 hundred naval ships, compared to the 15,000 to
16,000 of the Dutch Fleet. (Doc.6) A Navy was very important to colonial trade during the
seventieth and eighteenth centuries. A country that used it s own ships could avoid extra fees and
tariffs from other countries involved in shipping. Colbert promoted this tactic as one of the corner
stones of the mercantile system. Unfortunately the King paid more attention to his wars than to
French international business, and failed to strengthen the navy. The Dutch, who were at the
forefront of the ship building industry, took advantage of Louis s lax policies and monopolized
French trade. (Doc 7) Even through persistent warnings from Colbert, Louis XIV refused to
change his mind and continued to overlook naval expansion. (Doc 9) The King preferred to spend
his kingdoms great wealth on his own home in Versailles or his many battles rather than on the
development of French industry. (Doc. 14) King Louis XIV of Francemeant well for his country but
failed to provide the internal industries necessary for it s success. The French merchant community
had contrasting opinions on the mercantile system. Although experts of industry were encouraged
to come to France by Colbert, well established merchants often traveled to Holland or England for
business. (Doc 13,15) The merchant class disliked the idea of expansion of commerce within

similar that they often get confused. agree strongly with that definition Indeed It s perfect. I m
here today to inform you on how the genre of rap correlates directly with the English language
and how it has played a role in not only mankind but also me and my life specifically. To know
about rap first you must have a little knowledge on music and the history it here s a little
background on it. Music has a vast history and with it being around so long you d figure that it
has had an impact on lots of people. Music has impacted our culture s history since the start of
mankind according to John black in his article The origin of music, he went very deep into the
history of music itself and stated The oldest musical instrument ever discovered is believed to be
the Divje Babe flute, discovered in a cave in Slovenia in 1995, though this has been disputed.
The item is a fragment of the femur of a cave bear, which has been dated at 60,000 43,000 years

Zinc Ores During The World After Iron, Aluminum, And Copper
Introduction
Zinc is currently the fourth most widely consumed metal in the world after iron, aluminum, and
copper. In nature, zinc ores could be divided into sulphide minerals and oxide minerals. Zinc is
extracted mostly from zinc sulfide ores. With depletion of global resources of zinc sulfides as well
as the restriction on sulfur emissions during their processing, there is an increasing focus on the
processing of the huge reserves of zinc oxide ores (Li et al., 2010).
Thomas and Fray (1981) studied leaching of oxide zinc materials with chlorine and chlorine
hydrate. They found that the rate of leaching of the Adrar Turkish ore could be described using a
shrinking core diffusion model, and that the rate of leaching was controlled by surface reaction.
In all cases studied, lead was also leached with zinc. However, iron oxides remained virtually
undissolved. Frenay (1985) investigated leaching of oxidized zinc ores in various solution media
and obtained the best leaching results with sulfuric acid and caustic soda. Mineralogical studies
showed that smithsonite can be completely leached but hemimorphite is relatively refractory to
leaching. Abdel Aal (2000) studied the kinetics of sulfuric acid leaching of low grade zinc silicate
ore and reported that about 94% of zinc can be leached after 180 min of reaction with 10% sulfuric
acid at 70В°C. Espiari et al., 2006 studied hydrometallurgical treatment of tailings with high zinc
content using sulfuric acid and reported that the

Tornado Outbreak Essay
On April 27, 2011, President Obama signs Alabama emergency declaration (Press). Tornadoes
rolled through much of the Southeastern United States from April 25 to 28 in one giant storm
called a tornado outbreak. While many states issued states of emergency, Alabama was hit the
hardest. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, April 27, 2011 holds
the record for the most tornadoes of any day, 200. Combined with an estimated single day death
toll of 316, April 2011 s tornadooutbreak has changed how scientists study tornadoes.
Before looking specifically at April 2011 s tornado outbreak, it is important to understand what a
tornado outbreak is; however, there is no established definition for a tornado outbreak (Galway). ...

EMs and media representatives stated the growing number of weather awareness weeks (e.g.,
flood, lightning, fire, etc.) were diluting the messages and causing the events to lose their
effectiveness. The way that we now look at awareness events are to do fewer more impactful
events. Another thing that Hayes found was that some cities did not have any systems in place to
handle the tornado outbreak, and now there is an education program set in place that is free of
charge to the participants. Much of the other things that the National Weather Service said that
could be improved were infrastructure, the foundations of our society. There were unreliable
systems of communication between cities, and there were no backups in place incase one link
broke. One other thing that the cities could have used to further spread the knowledge was social
media, but some cities did not use any of it to contact citizens. The largest contributing factor to
people not getting to shelter or leaving was their misunderstanding of tornadoes and forecast
systems. The best way to educate these people is to offer classes to teach them about the basic

The 5 Communication Styles Based On The Lecture Material
PD7 A2
JRMARION
The 5 communication styles based on the lecture material are competing, avoiding, accommodating,
compromising and collaborating.
The competing style is used when people trying to achieve a goal or accomplish something. It is
used during arguments, such as when you are arguing against somebody else to prove a point.
The avoiding style is used when a person shows little interest in the other party they are
communicating with. This is used when often when interacting with a person you identify as an
unimportant stranger, such as when you bump into a stranger in a crowd and apologize.
The compromising style is used when a person cares about who they are interacting with and care
about their objectives / goals. An example of this would be scheduling with a friend over when to
meet up to do something since you care about their opinion and are willing to try to compromise.
The accommodating stance is used when you care more about the other party s goals more than
your own (in many cases). An example of this would be if your boss asked you to work overtime
and even though you didn t want to you agreed to do it.
The collaborating stance is used when both parties plan to accomplish their goals fully (unlike
compromising where the goals cannot be fully met) and to improve the relationship between them.
An example of this would be trading with somebody where both sides end up better off afterwards.

Pay for Performance Essay
Pay for Performance
Park University
Overview
Incentive pay, also known as pay for performance is generally given for specific performance
results rather than simply for time worked. While incentives are not the answer to all personnel
challenges, they can do much to increase worker performance. (Billikopf) Performance pay has
various names: merit pay, pay for performance, knowledge and skill based pay, or individual or
group incentive pay. (Delisio) Pay for performance systems have further been proven to have two
advantages for organizations: attracting more high quality employees and motivating employees to
exert more effort at their jobs. (Gordon, Kaswin) This paper will show the positive benefits of
performance pay as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pivotal in that philosophy development is how and to what extent pay will be tied to specific
types of performance. This issue will not be treated the same in every organization. However,
every business should be able to identify certain performance objectives it wants its workforce to
fulfill and the financial outcome that will be achieved if that result is attained. Such a projection
can be translated into an increased shareholder value figure. (The VisionLink Advisory Group)
Features of Effective Plans
Top Management Support Supervisors must understand the incentive pay process in order to
support and administer it. Oftentimes, a lack of understanding causes managers to ignore or
adapt the process as they see fit. Moreover, if supervisors are not trained on how to measure
performance, the process will not be standardized across the company. (Gordon, Kaswin) Having
buy in from key stakeholders is crucial for the success of an incentive pay system. For example, if
top management does not support such a program, lower level managers will place little
importance on effectively administering the program. Hence, a lack of top management support
often leads to a lack of accountability. (Gordon, Kaswin)
Communication
Consistent and methodical communication is necessary when implementing an incentive pay plan.
It will ensure employees understand what is expected of them while decreasing the likelihood

Evolution Of Evolution And Genetics
Biologists have been studying evolution and genetics to further advance human knowledge,
discover the human origins, and to eliminate human illnesses. Biologists like Lamark and Darwin
have contributed much knowledge to the biology community and have helped many grasp the idea
of evolution. But there are still many questions left unanswered; regressive evolutionis one of these
puzzling questions left unanswered. Cavefishes may help solve the mystery of why regressive
evolution occurs and biologists have developed to hypothesis to explain this mystery. Additionally,
solving this mystery may further the health of the humanrace to solve eyerelated diseases.
Lamark s theory of use and disuse proposes that an organism s structure will steadily evolve and
adapt to its environment, but only if it is being used frequently. Using giraffes, Lamark explains
that the constant stretching of their necks to reach for higher leafs on trees caused giraffes to
develop their long necks. Similarly, according to Lamark if a structure is no longer being used, it
will slowly vanish over time. But people are quick to dismiss the use and disuse theory because he
mentions that any characteristics that a parent acquires throughout their lifetime will be passed on
to their offspring. This is known to not be true because a parent who loses a limb would not mean
that their offspring would also be missing that same limb. Additionally, the discovery of DNA
disproves Lamark s theory because it shows DNA

Advantages Of Multilevel Inverter
CHAPTER 3
MULTILEVEL INVERTER TOPOLOGIES AND CONTROL SCHEME
3.1. Multilevel Inverter
Multilevel inverters have ability to generate low switching frequency high quality output
waveforms with several high voltages and higher power applications and the general structure of
multilevel converter is synthesizes a sinusoidal voltage from several level of voltages. The
multilevel inverter has overcome the limitations of conventional two level voltage converters. The
advantages of multilevel inverter are higher power quality, lower switching losses, low
electromagnetic interference and higher voltage capability.
The voltage source inverter gives an output voltage or a current with levels either 0 or В±V_dc.
They are known as two level inverter. To... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, input node voltages and currents can be referred to the input terminal voltages of the
inverter with reference to ground point and the corresponding currents from each node of the
capacitors to the inverter respectively. As an example, input node (dc) currents by I_1,I_2 etc.,
and input node (dc) voltages are designed by V_1,V_2, etc as shown in Figure 1a. V_a,V_b and
V_c are the root mean square (rms) values of line load voltages; I_a,I_b and I_c are the rms values
of the line load currents. Figure 3.1 a shows the schematic of a pole in a multilevel inverter
where V_a indicates an output phase voltage that can predicted at any voltage level depending on
the selection of node (dc) voltage V_1,V_2 etc. By connecting switch to one node at a time, one
can easily obtain the desired output. Figure 3.2 shows the typical output voltage of a five level

possible, (2) have capability of withstanding at very high input voltage for high power applications,
and (3) have lower switching frequency for each switching

Hip Hop, A And Creative Aspect Of Music
Breaking through in the heart of the Bronx, Hip Hop was designed to empower and teach the
youth, while providing them an outlet for creative expression. Developed on five essential pillars,
all working towards: giving African Americans knowledge that they didn t have access to, inspiring
them to read and acquire true knowledge of self, and to understand the role that self has in America
in relation to the actual worth of self. Since the inception of Hip Hop, the genre has evolved through
the times while transcending new depths aligned with its original pillars.
An innovator in a sense, DJ Kool Herc founded Hip Hop by the early 70 s. MC s, DJ s,
breakdancing, graffiti and music encompass the five pillars of Hip Hop. Modern inversions
interpret these pillars in many different ways. Prevalent through all major cities, graffiti evolved
to the murals on the side of buildings, and the creative aspect of music videos. Artists have
visions interpreted in the way they decide to imagine their visuals. Breakdancing has become the
advance dance crazes that sweep the nations. People in Japan are hitting the Nae Nae because of
Hip Hop s mass globalization. MC s are the talk show host and commentators of award shows and
hosts of events and red carpet specials: media. Dispersion of Hip Hop through channels that connect
Blacks across different scopes happens through the media. Modern day DJ s introduce the new
music with sets that keep nightclubs jumping from dawn to dusk. Displaying the

Media s Portrayal Of Skinny Women And Muscular Men
Desire for the unachievable goal of perfection is constantly stimulated by media s portrayal of
skinny women and muscular men. Many people who view all of these images are highly
effected, and begin to think they are not normal. For example, Danny Bowman, who at nineteen
years old tried to kill himself because he did not take a perfect selfie after ten hours of repeatedly
trying (Aldridge). He dropped out of school, stayed home, and was violent when asked to stop

Comparing The Protest Song Glory By Common And John Legend
Protest Music is music everyone can relate to while they are protesting. When listening to
protest music everyone feels and embodies the same emotion. They are motivated to keep going
because they are all fighting for an injustice and the music is what helps them keep going. For
example, the song titled Glory by Common and John Legend is a great protest song, and it is
usually heard at Black Lives Matter protests today. Glory is a song about how there is still
inequality in America today, however, imagining that one day everyone will be considered equal,
and there will be no differences between races and genders. The song gives people hope, that one
day things will get better.
There is still racism and inequality in this country and African Americans are disproportionately

Progressives lived mainly in the cities, they were college educated, and believed that government
could be a tool for change (Benz,2003). The progressive era was a hard time with big changes
that made people s lives harder and made some live better. Money became hard and work became
better for women. Women had the best outcome of the era. They got work and the right to vote.
Alcohol had a hard time working out in this time. People tried to make, sell, and transport it without
being fought but this became hard so the laws were changed. The sixteenth amendment states that
the congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived,
without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
This means that it allows federal government to levy an income tax from all Americans. Income tax
allows for the federal government to keep an army, build roads and bridges, enforce laws and carry
out other important duties (Fiskin, Forbath, Jensen, 2017). This amendment played a central role in
building up the powerful American federal government of the twentieth century by making it
possible to enact a modern, nationwide income tax. The income tax became by far the federal

of nursing research and evidence based practice such as improved quality of practice and changes
to practice based on new data. This competency is crucial for the professionalism in nursing

Milkman s Use Of Contrast And Mirror Images In Chapter Five
Chapter 5 presents a series of contrasts and mirror images that reflect the tenuous relationships
between various characters and provide conflicting perspectives on love, sex, and survival.
Milkman s pondering his impending death at the hands of Hagar, his distraught ex lover, at the
beginning of the chapter evokes many similar references to the presence of death throughout the
novel. For example, note that Milkman s picturing his own death as a spurt of wine red blood
foreshadows Hagar s funeral scene at the end of Chapter 13, when a sympathetic wino drops his
liquor bottle, spurting emerald glass and jungle red wine everywhere. Resigned to let Hagar kill
him if she wants to and can, Milkman is almost exhilarated by thoughts of death:

Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Essay...
Business ethics and corporate social responsibility have become an increasing area of focus for
organizations today. However, this has not always been the case in the American business
environment. Chapter three Conducting Business Ethically and Responsibly (R.W. Griffin R.J.
Ebert, p.56 p.87) concentrates on the development of ethical codes of conduct as it relates to
business. The chapter also focuses on the social responsibilityan organization holds in relation to
everyday decision making. Ethicsand social responsibility go hand in hand. Ethics affects
individuals or groups within the workplace, whereas social responsibility refers to the overall route

It has been working world wide to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment
opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue in handling work related issues
(ILO, 2008). In an attempt to comply with ILO standards, companies like GE are now joining
organizations like the Business Leaders Initiative on Humans Rights (BLIHR) who s goal is to
create practical ways of applying the aspirations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
within a business context and to inspire other businesses to do likewise (BLIHR, 2008). Since
American Civil War, business practices, attitudes and norms have evolved over time for the most
part. The evolution has progressed from obstructionist, to defensive, to accommodative to the now
increasingly accepted proactive stance. This change in approach to social responsibility is directly
related to the change in American/World values and culture. Over this same period of time
institutions like slavery, colonialism, segregation, sexism, child labor and other questionable and

Essay On High Stakes Testing
The Talk About The Bitter Test Standardized high stakes testing is necessary in today s school
systems and policies within education. The fate of annual standardized testing is being considered
as Congress debates the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA),
also known as the No Child Left Behind Act (Evans, 2015). Testing in its current form may seem
detrimental to student learning, but the only thing worse than standardized testing is not having
testing at all (Evans, 2015). Standardized High stakes Testingis necessary because it serves as a
platform for guiding students and teachers, it s a great measurement tool on an individual s
performance, it helps prepare administration and it also provides a level playing field.
First, standardized high stakes testing serves as a platform for guiding students and teachers.
Students and teachers needs high stakes testing because the test allows them to know what material
is important to teach and learn. High Stakes testing helps inform decisions about the curriculum and
instruction (Nichols and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Standardized high stakes testing could be dangerous due to multiple corruptions within the
education administrations in the school systems (Nichols and Berliner, 2007, pg.6). First,
standardized high stakes testing shows a correlation between increased drop out rates (Amrein and
Berliner, 2002, pg.2). Another warning about the dangerous side effects of standardized high
stakes testing surfaced when a plan a pay teachers on the basis of their students scores was
offered, making student test scores very high stakes testing. (Roderick and Bryk, 2007, pg.11).
Lastly, standardized high stakes testing encourages teachers to watch the examiners foibles and to
note his idiosyncrasies to prepare for questions that were more likely to appear on the testing which
can lead to failure within the classroom (Wall, 2000,

to One and only God. Who is alive, active and everlasting . Also reveals that He is faithful to His
word, purpose and character . What He says stands and will come to pass .
Allow me to elaborate this further. OT begins by revealing God. The Creator of heavens, earth and
every living beings , desiring to bless and have relationship. God s nature is demonstrated, as He

Fairy Tales By The Brother s Grimm, Rapunzel And Cinderella
Throughout history, fairy tales have been told with the intent of teaching a lesson.
These stories have been altered numerous times, varying with a changing society.
Classic fairy tales by the Brother s Grimm, Rapunzel and Cinderella, were published in the mid
1800s. Many years later Disney released its own versions of these Grimm fairy tales called
Tangled, a modern take on Rapunzel, and Cinderella published in 2010 and

telling of the tale there are far more animal characters that act as helpers to
Cinderella consisting of numerous birds, mice, and a few farm animals, while in the
Grimm tale there are only two white pigeons. An additional character in the more modern version
is a Fairy God Mother, who aids Cinderella to the ball and helps her in her time of need. Aside from
the contrast in animal characters, the other characters found in both stories assume the same role.
There are varying plots between the fairy tales Rapunzel and Tangled. In
Rapunzel, the plot involves an evil sorceress, Gothel, imprisoning Rapunzel in a tower, the only

The Importance Of Intelligence And Organizational Leadership
Introduction
Cybercriminals have been increasingly engaging in online attacks exploiting organization s
vulnerabilities and deficiencies (Bhattacharya, 2011). Among the organizational factors that are
necessary to combat cybercrime and other problems related to information security, leadership is
one of the most important (Bhattacharya, 2011; Kwon, et al., 2013). Indeed, not only does effective
leadership enable the organization to appropriately defend itself against, and respond to, cybercrime
through the appropriate use of information security strategies, an excellent leader also ensures
regulatory compliance and the development of an effective monitoring plan to reduce information
security risks (Kwon, et al., 2013). At the other end of the spectrum, ineffective leadership leads to
passive or reactive measures against cybercrime that, in turn, can place the organization at risk of
information security related damage and losses (Gupta and Hammond, 2005).
This mini proposal presents a body of research that will make a contribution to emotional
intelligence and organizational leadership in the information security age. It presents the steps taken
to select the participants, how the data will be analyzed into themes. The mini proposal will also
present methods, techniques and the tasks are used to capture the data. It also discusses a series of
studies that provide an empirical evaluation of particular cybercrime events, and uses the
experimental results to begin

The collaboration of hand drawn sketches with real life photograph allow this album to stand out
through use of bricolage. The bringing together of two different art forms in one gives the album
an interesting edge. The bright pink, bold lettering showing the band name Ramones allows the
album to stand out through contrasting. The use of bright colours such as yellow or pink were
often used in punk imagery in order to make the colour objects stand out, making more of a
statement. Having the band name appear with such importance, demanding recognition means the
album does not go unnoticed. Pink is often seen a feminine colour and so the use of this in such a
bold hue may be act of rebelling against what is expected of men, by embracing a sense of
femininity and/or neutrality and bringing this together with an image showing the band looking
carefree. The album exudes juxtaposition with this appearing between monochrome and colour,

Improving Capital Access Programs Within The Sba
On May 19, 2015, a hearing in the 114th congress was held. The Subcommittee on Economic
Growth, Tax and Capital Access (of the Committee on Small Business) entitled Improving Capital
Access Programs within the SBA , discussed ways to give more money to its veteran entrepreneurs.
This would be done by changing the loanprocess within the Small BusinessAdministration. The
House report gives the following testimony from, a lender authorized to operate in the Loan
Program that the initiative would help SBA guaranteed lenders get needed capital to veterans, (p.4
HR). This is where the idea was planted and then it was assigned by the speaker, Mr. John Boehner,
to the House Committee on Small Business.
Introduced May 21, 2015, Representative Steve Chabot, Chairman of the Small Business
Committee, recommended to increase access to capital for veteran entrepreneurs. This act was
named the Veterans Entrepreneurship Act of 2015. Along with Rep Chabot were six cosponsors
in the House: Rep Mike Bost (IL), Rep Carlos Curbelo (FL), Rep Christopher Gibson (NY), Rep

Medicine And Placebos Pills Treat Migraine Headaches
Placebos are used as a form of treatment for patients; placebos offer no medication but seem to
relieve patents of the pain and symptoms they have (Seymour, 2011). Medication has down sides,
such as creating drug dependencies and increased tolerance for the drug resulting in a decrease in
the amount of success that drug has to treat the pain. Placebos offer a medicine free treatment to
help patients deal with pain. Many studies have been done to examine the difference between
medicine and placebos pills to treat migraineheadaches. Placebos have been found to have similar
pain relieving effects to medicine, without the harmful risks the medication has (Seymour, 2011).
Title
Placebos were first introduced into the medical world in the late 18th century (Seymour, 2011).
Placebos are used as a therapeutic procedure that affects a patient and removes symptoms of an
illness or pain by giving them a sham pill with no actual medication in it (Seymour, 2011). A
placebo effect is therefore a change in the patient s symptoms or illness after a placebo is given
(Seymour, 2011). A nocebo on the other hand, is the negative equivalent of the placebo effect; when
a patient expects a negative outcome of a treatment he or she will experience the undesirable
outcome that was expected (Benedetti, Durando, Vighetti, 2014). Both placebo and nocebo effects
can be provoked by observing others, which causes the release of several neurotransmitters, such as

Stagecoach Essay
Stagecoach An Interpretation of Stagecoach
In 1939 John Ford masterminded a classical western film by the name of Stagecoach. This film
has the integrity of a fine work of art. Being that it could be considered a work of art, the
impression left on a viewing audience could differ relying on the audience s demographics.
However, it is conceivable to all audiences that Ford delivers a cast of characters that are built on
stereotypes and perceptions conjured from B westerns that preceded this film s time. Each
character is introduced to the audience in a stereotypical genre, as the film progresses, these
stereotypes are broken down and the characters become more humanized. This is apparent with a

with someone of Dallas s social standing. It is only after the birth of her child that she breaks
away from her stereotype. She realizes the aid and care that she received from Dallas with her
newborn and soon after begins to socially accept Dallas. This is not the last one will see of a
character breaking their stereotypical role.
This brings us to the characters that compose the middle class. These characters are: Curly,
Hatfield, Doc Boone and Peacock. The roles of these characters are not built and manifested
throughout the film. For instance, Curly is introduced as the sheriff out to imprison the Ringo
kid. This is in line with the B men of the justice of the peace. His major concern is to see that the

The Role Of Pharmacists
The profession of Pharmacy is not only the science of practicing of preparation and dispensing of
medicinal drugs but also providing quality of life to the individuals/patients.pharmacists are one of
the health care providers who act as mediators between physicians and the patients. The profession
of pharmacyis well managed globally specially in the developed countries. Since the pharmacists
are the only professionals who manufacture the medicines and have an in depth knowledge about
the drugs, they should be given treatment rights on par with the physicians. The careers of
pharmacists are diverse if they are well recognized. Hence the government of India should take
proper steps to manage the pharmaceutical industry and show them better career prospects. In
India, the profession of pharmacy is not well recognized due to illiteracy and poverty. But this can
be overcome, if the pharmacists put on proper efforts to make their profession magnified by gaining
adequate knowledge in their areas of study.as said the pharmacists act as mediators, they play a key

Persuasive Essay On Homeless People
Image being homeless, and not having a stable dwelling to call home. For a majority of people
throughout the United States reality is true for these Americans. For example, waking up every
day, not knowing where your next meal will come from; having to asking strangers for a few
dollars, to get something to eat and drink. For instance, Crisis, the homeless charity, Perhaps this

thousand fifth teen and two thousand six teen. Perhaps as many as 34,500 people sleep rough in

people in hotels, and 1,100 households in bed and breakfast and over crowded accommodations. (
Financial Times, 22 April 2017). So what is the right reaction when someone in need asks for
money on the street? In an interview last month, Pope Francis suggested the answer was to give
without hesitation; but many charities beg to differ. Thames Reach, which supports homeless

Charles Boblit Case Summary
Facts: John Brady (petitioner) and Charles Boblit were found guilty of first degree murder and
sentenced to death. Convictions were affirmed by the Court of Appeals in Maryland. Their trials
were processed separately. At Brady s trial, he took stand and maintained that he participated in the
preceding robbery, but not in the killing. At the sentencing, both men received the death penalty.
Brady s counsel conceded that Brady was guilty of murder in the first degree, and asking the juryto
return that verdict without capital punishment. Prior to the trial counsel requested to examine
Boblit s extra judicial statements. Several statements were shown to Petitioner s counsel; but the

any prejudice to relief under the Maryland. The petition for post conviction relief was dismissed
by the trial court; and on appeal the Court of appeals held that suppression of the evidence by the
prosecution denied petitioner due process of law and remanded the case for a retrial of the
question of punishment, not the question of guilt. Ruling: The Supreme Court held that
withholding evidence violated the process where the evidence is crucial either to guilt or to

Similarities Between Second Coming And 1914
W.B Yeats wrote Second Coming which had reflected the effects of world war one and another
war poet known as Welfred Owen wrote the poem 1914 which also discussed about the world
war one which broke out in 1914. These poems had evoked the theme of fall of civilization and
chaos in the world specially the European countries who were involved in the war. Both the Irish
poets blamed the greed and irrational acts of the people whose immoral deeds had ensued in the
inception of great destruction in the world. In the Second coming Yeats had employed images of
falcon and falconer to symbolize the fall of civilization which had leaded to a catastrophic war.
And Owen had employed the symbolism of the season such as the spring and winter to show the
conditions of the world due to the war. The major similarity between the Second coming and 1914
could be the poets view over the First World War and their hopes of seeing the world rejuvenating
into peaceful and blissful one.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the war over 59 million troops were mobilized, 8 million died and 29 million were
injured. (wilde, 2014). Both the poems had exhibited the effects of the destructive war. War
broke: and now the Winter of the world With perishing great darkness closes in (1914). Here
Owen was trying to convince that the war was like a winter which was cold and harsh affecting
the world by making it dark. Dark here means destructive and terrifying which will deprive the
happiness and prosperity of the world. The blood dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere. The
ceremony of innocence is drowned; (Yeats. 1919). This statement also has a similar point of view
as the in Owen s 1914 the consequences of war was likely to be devastating as it snatched the
peace and happiness from the people. Yeats had associated the war with bloodshed and downfall of

The Expectation Management Of A Parcel Delivery Company
Introduction
This paper will look into the Expectation Management of a parcel delivery company and how to
properly reduce the level of service in order to redefine the company s business model. It will
look at the promises the company makes and if they are realistic and how they will follow through,
the choices it offers it customers and if the too are realistic or sustainable. The intent is to create a
tiered value offering based on the customers communicated service criteria. Based on what a
company learns from the communication of what the customer expects, the company should be able
to define its customer service business model.

In order to make a realistic promise the company must know what the customer expects and its
limitations with providing that level of service or if that is unrealistic request. The company must
communicate with the customer on what their expectations are, so that the company could then
evaluate if that is a feasible feat for the company to achieve, or if the expectations of the customer
are unrealistic. The higher the level of expectation the customer brings, will determine their
personal evaluation of service (Zeithaml, Bitner, Gremler, 2013, p 429); and the higher level of
service quality they expect to received. In order for the customer to believe they received high
quality of service their expectations must be met. In pursuance of fulfilling the customer
expectation of service received the customer must be afforded options or choices related to the
service received.
Offer Choices Offering choices to customers, gives the customer more belief that they have
control of the level of service they will receive, and that, that level of service will be met. With a
parcel shipping company, the higher the price the more the customer will expects to have their
level of service achieved. In marketing, customers relate time/money and speed/quality; if a

Social Stratification In America
People from all over the world come to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream, or
the belief that anyone can move upwards in society with hard work. The belief that an individual
can change their status is termed social mobility (Southworth, 22). However, it is clear that
simply being American does not mean everyone has equal social mobility, social stratification
exists. Social stratification refers to a hierarchy where people are ranked based on factors such as
their class, race, family they were born into, and gender (Southworth, 21). These factors affect an
individual s life chances, or the ability to obtain education, health, and income. Better life chances
are more conducive to social mobility. Historically, class, or one s

Naturalistic Dualism Gertler
In her essay Brie Gertler defends the idea of naturalistic dualism. Naturalistic dualism means the
view that mental states are non physical. Gertler begins with an argument made by Descartes in
his Mediations. She expands and defends this argument. She then begins by describing a version
of physicalism called the identity thesis, which every type of mental state is identical to some
type of physical state. Her example was relating pain to c fibers. If a theory says that pain is
identical to C fiber stimulation, then pain is impossible without C fiber stimulation. Therefore, if
mental states such as pain can possibly occur even if one has no physical state, then the identity
thesis is false. Gertler defends dualismby arguing that it is possible

Texas Judicial System Research Paper
The Texas Constitution governs and backs the legislative process which consist of applicable
statues. The two bicameral chambers of legislature is the House and the Senate. The House and
Senate adopt actions and rules that are reviewed by these two bicameral chambers. The origin of
the bill is the main concern for the legislative process. This is where the bill begins and returns to
when it is reviewed by the different chambers. When drafting a bill, legislation has the ability to
request services from the Texas legislative Council (Henson J, Morris J Ch. 4). In addition, when
drafting the bill they may call in further assistance from the Senate department. The bill may
address concerns over particular issues and or special interest that legislature has. The bill can be
repealed, enacted, and amended from different members on legislature. The Legislative Board is a
review board that drafts appropriations for the general bill (Ch. 4). Different bills consist of single

Essay about Rollercoasters
Introduction:
You wait in line for what seems like forever and finally you take your seat. You pull the paddle
bars so they fit snug against your shoulders. You reach the top and then comes the big drop. You
start screaming or if you re daring you put your hands up and enjoy the ride. I m of course
speaking of roller coasters. Today I m going to go over the history, the different types of roller
coasters, the mechanics, and the most important part, safety of roller coasters.
History
The oldest roller coaster is believed to have originated from the so called Russian Mountains ,
which were specially constructed hills of ice, located around Saint Petersburg. Built in the 15th
century, the slides were built to a height between 70 and 80 ... Show more content on

Perhaps the best known historical roller coaster, The Cyclone, was opened at Coney Island in
1927. The Great Depression marked the end of the first golden age of roller coasters, and
amusement parks in general went into deterioration.
In 1959 the Disneyland theme park introduced a new design breakthrough with the Matterhorn
Bobsleds. This was the first roller coaster to use a tubular steel track. Unlike conventional rails set
on wooden railroad ties, tubular steel can be bent in any direction, which allows designers to
incorporate loops, corkscrews, and many other maneuvers into their designs. Most modern roller
coasters are made of steel, although wooden coasters are still being built. New designs and
technologies are pushing the limits of what can be experienced on the newest coasters.
Mechanics:
The cars on a typical roller coaster are not self powered. A standard full circuit coaster is pulled
up with a chain or cable along the lift hill to the first peak of the coaster track. The potential
energy accumulated by the rise in height is transferred to kinetic energy as the cars race down the
first downward slope. Kinetic energy is then converted back into potential energy as the train
moves up again to the second peak. This hill is necessarily lower, as some mechanical energy is
lost to friction. Not all rides feature a lift hill, however. The train may be set into motion by

The, The Sandman By Neil Gaiman
To my knowledge, I have never read or seen that many horror comics that involve women taking
the lead over the typical male. Just like in Vampirella, it had some horror in it, but was more
focused on being sexual and outlandish. One particular comic book series I was quite fond of was
The Sandman by award winning writer Neil Gaiman. What really got my attention was the
character Death; the sister of the main protagonist Sandman. Death is both the lord and
personification of all death and life, but she is the complete opposite of what people see her
image as, an image of a skeleton with scythe and a scary black robe. We do not know the true
image of death, but why depict a woman? Why not just a figure of a skeleton? Is it too
complicated to show Death as a skeleton figure or a mere shadow, like in the film The
Frighteners? It is not scary and I find it sexist to have an image of a dark and strange figure be a
woman. This is similar to the Infinity Gauntlet storyline published by Marvel where Thanos, the
main antagonist, is on a quest to please Death herself in order to win over her heart and cause
destruction all over the galaxy. Again, another personification of death is portrayed as a female,
seeming to signify that women are far more ferocious and scary than men are. I always had an
image of a woman when I think of death when I was little. How woman are seen in horror comics,
they are shown either as being the damsel in distress, or being death itself, but not

throughout Europe and the Mediterranean by fleas infested rats transported through ships. The
infested ships had then landed in European ports such as the following: Genoa, Venice, Messina,

Catholics, in fear of their sins would perform self flagellation as they worried that they will be

Data And Three Types Of Data Centers
Migration of data, applications from traditional data centers to the cloud has been calling the
attention to many corporations and analysts.
However, as the immense cloud relocation changes the data center industry, a smaller, under rated
change has been occurring around the non cloud applications that have been abandoned. These
edge applications have remained on premise and, because of the nature of the cloud, the criticality
of these applications has expanded altogether.
Some of the current limitations for applications shifting to the cloud are identified as
Latency
Limitation of bandwidth
Security
These apply to applications that require high availability, low latency and connectivity such as
Uber, smart traffic lights, financial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Localized or Micro Data Center. A localized data center that is co located with the users of the data
center.
Characteristics:
Lack of security Unorganized racks
No redundancy
. No dedicated cooling
No DCIM monitoring.
The local equipment is critical to connectivity to everyday business applications. With more and
more living in the cloud, when that access point is down, employees cannot be productive.
This suggests that a change in how we design these small on premise data centers is needed. We
can no longer focus only on central and regional data centers, and arguably, more focus should be
on the localized sites because they are currently the weakest links.
The issue is that many downsized on premise data centers are not properly designed to assume
their new role as critical data outposts. Most are organized as one or two servers housed within a
wiring closet
Later in this paper, we describe best practices that should be deployed at these sites to ensure a
highly connected and productive business
Steps that enhance edge resiliency
In order to enhance critical edge application availability, several best practices are recommended:
Enhanced security When you enter some of these server rooms and closets, you typically see
unsecured entry doors and open racks (no doors). To enhance security, equipment should be moved
to a locked room or placed within a locked enclosure. Biometric access

Macromolecules Of Carbohydrates
Background and Carbohydrates
How are macromolecule polymers assembled from monomers? How are they broken down?
To assemble a macromolecule polymer from monomers, the monomers must bond. This is a
process known as a dehydration reaction, in which a water molecule is lost to form the bond.
When this process occurs, each of the two bonded monomers provides part of the water molecule
that was lost in the dehydration reaction: one contributes a hydroxyl group and the other a
hydrogen. Dehydration reaction can take place over and over again, losing a water molecule every
time, and forming a chain of monomers: a macromolecule. These macromolecules are disassembled
by hydrolysis. This process is the inverse of a dehydration reaction: the covalent bond between the
monomers is broken when water is added, a hydrogen attaching to one monomer and a hydroxyl
group attaching to the other.
How can you tell a biological molecule is a carbohydrate?
Carbohydrates are sugars that contain carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in a 1:2:1 ratio. They can be
used for storage, structure, and energy. An example is glucose, with chemical formula C6H12O6.
Explain the relationship between monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides.
All three are carbohydrates. Monosaccharides are the simplest carbohydrates and are classified as
simple sugars with molecular formulas that are multiples of CH2O. Disaccharides are two
monosaccharides bonded by a glycosidic linkage (a covalent bond formed by dehydration

  • 2. Legal Issues Over The Separate Commercial Contracts In the scenario which has been presented the legal issues that have arisen relate to three separate commercial contracts which have been entered into. Different legal issues have affected each contract but on the whole there are three main elements which can be identified, these being, of breach of contract, frustration of contract and a failure with regard to the perfect tender rule, mitigated by substantial performance. Each contract will be considered separately using legislation and relevant case law to come to a determination as to what remedies are available in relation to each of the contracts in question. After considering each contract a conclusion will be drawn as to the legal position regarding each of the contracts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Martha, an events planner has entered into a contract with the owner of a venue Lafreau estate where it was her intention to stage a ball. An important element of the contract involved the hire of a large tent and the tropical gardens where it was intended to install the tent as a venue for the ball dinner. However, heavy rainfall leading up to the event has rendered the garden waterlogged resulting in the ground becoming incapable of supporting the tent. The venue owners, therefore, have inform ed Martha of the situation implying that they will be unable to perform their obligation to supply the tent or the hire of the garden. An anticipatory breach such as this entitles the innocent party to sue immediately or to await performance. It appears from the facts that the estate owners have received a ... The key is simply being knowledgeable enough about the sources so that that one can use them to locate the relevant law efficiently and effectively. Before beginning research, one needs to spend time brainstorming the problem. Reading the facts, ascertaining the subject matter, and noting the preliminary issues to be researched are the basic things to be done. • 6. Louise Mallard s Epiphany A life with no creative outlet or freedom of expression is arguably no life at all. The model Victorian woman is one who does not even have these basic rights. She is expected to devote her entire existence to her family and run the household that her husband owns. This ideal woman is supposed to have minimal care for her own ideas, curiosities, and emotions; leaving her unable to express her creativity or intellect. Kate Chopin s The Story of an Hour discusses the awakening, the realization of her freedom and potential to express herself, of the main character, Louise Mallard. Mrs. Mallard has been repressed by her husband for the greater part of their marriage, therefore leaving her bereft of expression and personal enjoyment, as an ideal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The quintessence of irony within the story is Louise s death after discovering her presumably dead husband is alive, which would perpetuate her miserable life. When Brently returns home, Louise, dumbstruck at this inexplicable event, has a heart attack and dies. Her extreme reaction to Brently s startling arrival proves that she is extremely distraught at his appearance; if she felt any less passionately about her newfound freedom she would have still been alive. Assuming that Louise passed due to the joyous surprise, doctors proclaimed that, she had died of heart disease of the joy that kills (Chopin par. 20). This statement contradicts the reality of the situation her newfound feelings of freedom obtained through her awakening are seized from her instantaneously, therefore leaving her in distress. Unlike most married women, who would be incredibly thankful and astonished to have their husband back from the grave, she was perturbed that her husband returns alive because the free life that she looked forward to was brutally taken away from her in her eyes. Mercantilism depended on the cooperation between colony and mother country in the shipping and production of raw materials. Domestic industry increased employment, expanded commercial activity within the country and decreased France s dependence on foreign trade. The success of a Mercantile system relied on the government, participating merchants, even nobility and the working class, all had effects on the success of the French economy. France s King Louis XIV played a hugely important role in the success of mercantilism. Louis XIV realized the affects of a successful mercantile economy in France. The King supported the ... (Doc.6) A Navy was very important to colonial trade during the seventieth and eighteenth centuries. A country that used it s own ships could avoid extra fees and tariffs from other countries involved in shipping. Colbert promoted this tactic as one of the corner stones of the mercantile system. Unfortunately the King paid more attention to his wars than to French international business, and failed to strengthen the navy. The Dutch, who were at the forefront of the ship building industry, took advantage of Louis s lax policies and monopolized French trade. (Doc 7) Even through persistent warnings from Colbert, Louis XIV refused to change his mind and continued to overlook naval expansion. (Doc 9) The King preferred to spend his kingdoms great wealth on his own home in Versailles or his many battles rather than on the development of French industry. (Doc. 14) King Louis XIV of Francemeant well for his country but failed to provide the internal industries necessary for it s success. The French merchant community had contrasting opinions on the mercantile system. To know about rap first you must have a little knowledge on music and the history it here s a little background on it. Music has a vast history and with it being around so long you d figure that it has had an impact on lots of people. Music has impacted our culture s history since the start of mankind according to John black in his article The origin of music, he went very deep into the history of music itself and stated The oldest musical instrument ever discovered is believed to be the Divje Babe flute, discovered in a cave in Slovenia in 1995, though this has been disputed. • 9. Zinc Ores During The World After Iron, Aluminum, And Copper Introduction Zinc is currently the fourth most widely consumed metal in the world after iron, aluminum, and copper. In nature, zinc ores could be divided into sulphide minerals and oxide minerals. Zinc is extracted mostly from zinc sulfide ores. With depletion of global resources of zinc sulfides as well as the restriction on sulfur emissions during their processing, there is an increasing focus on the processing of the huge reserves of zinc oxide ores (Li et al., 2010). Thomas and Fray (1981) studied leaching of oxide zinc materials with chlorine and chlorine hydrate. They found that the rate of leaching of the Adrar Turkish ore could be described using a shrinking core diffusion model, and that the rate of leaching was controlled by surface reaction. In all cases studied, lead was also leached with zinc. However, iron oxides remained virtually undissolved. Frenay (1985) investigated leaching of oxidized zinc ores in various solution media and obtained the best leaching results with sulfuric acid and caustic soda. Mineralogical studies showed that smithsonite can be completely leached but hemimorphite is relatively refractory to leaching. Abdel Aal (2000) studied the kinetics of sulfuric acid leaching of low grade zinc silicate ore and reported that about 94% of zinc can be leached after 180 min of reaction with 10% sulfuric acid at 70В°C. Espiari et al., 2006 studied hydrometallurgical treatment of tailings with high zinc content using sulfuric acid and reported that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tornadoes rolled through much of the Southeastern United States from April 25 to 28 in one giant storm called a tornado outbreak. While many states issued states of emergency, Alabama was hit the hardest. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, April 27, 2011 holds the record for the most tornadoes of any day, 200. Combined with an estimated single day death toll of 316, April 2011 s tornadooutbreak has changed how scientists study tornadoes. Before looking specifically at April 2011 s tornado outbreak, it is important to understand what a tornado outbreak is; however, there is no established definition for a tornado outbreak (Galway). ... Hayes speaks on behalf of the National Weather Service when he says that they found Several EMs and media representatives stated the growing number of weather awareness weeks (e.g., flood, lightning, fire, etc.) were diluting the messages and causing the events to lose their effectiveness. The way that we now look at awareness events are to do fewer more impactful events. Another thing that Hayes found was that some cities did not have any systems in place to handle the tornado outbreak, and now there is an education program set in place that is free of charge to the participants. Much of the other things that the National Weather Service said that could be improved were infrastructure, the foundations of our society. There were unreliable systems of communication between cities, and there were no backups in place incase one link broke. One other thing that the cities could have used to further spread the knowledge was social media, but some cities did not use any of it to contact citizens. The largest contributing factor to people not getting to shelter or leaving was their misunderstanding of tornadoes and forecast systems. The 5 Communication Styles Based On The Lecture Material PD7 A2 JRMARION The 5 communication styles based on the lecture material are competing, avoiding, accommodating, compromising and collaborating. The competing style is used when people trying to achieve a goal or accomplish something. It is used during arguments, such as when you are arguing against somebody else to prove a point. The avoiding style is used when a person shows little interest in the other party they are communicating with. This is used when often when interacting with a person you identify as an unimportant stranger, such as when you bump into a stranger in a crowd and apologize. The compromising style is used when a person cares about who they are interacting with and care about their objectives / goals. An example of this would be scheduling with a friend over when to meet up to do something since you care about their opinion and are willing to try to compromise. The accommodating stance is used when you care more about the other party s goals more than your own (in many cases). An example of this would be if your boss asked you to work overtime and even though you didn t want to you agreed to do it. The collaborating stance is used when both parties plan to accomplish their goals fully (unlike compromising where the goals cannot be fully met) and to improve the relationship between them. An example of this would be trading with somebody where both sides end up better off afterwards. The 4 communication tools for understanding cultural differences as ... Oftentimes, a lack of understanding causes managers to ignore or adapt the process as they see fit. Moreover, if supervisors are not trained on how to measure performance, the process will not be standardized across the company. (Gordon, Kaswin) Having buy in from key stakeholders is crucial for the success of an incentive pay system. For example, if top management does not support such a program, lower level managers will place little importance on effectively administering the program. Hence, a lack of top management support often leads to a lack of accountability. Biologists like Lamark and Darwin have contributed much knowledge to the biology community and have helped many grasp the idea of evolution. But there are still many questions left unanswered; regressive evolutionis one of these puzzling questions left unanswered. Cavefishes may help solve the mystery of why regressive evolution occurs and biologists have developed to hypothesis to explain this mystery. Additionally, solving this mystery may further the health of the humanrace to solve eyerelated diseases. Lamark s theory of use and disuse proposes that an organism s structure will steadily evolve and adapt to its environment, but only if it is being used frequently. Using giraffes, Lamark explains that the constant stretching of their necks to reach for higher leafs on trees caused giraffes to develop their long necks. Similarly, according to Lamark if a structure is no longer being used, it will slowly vanish over time. But people are quick to dismiss the use and disuse theory because he mentions that any characteristics that a parent acquires throughout their lifetime will be passed on to their offspring. This is known to not be true because a parent who loses a limb would not mean that their offspring would also be missing that same limb. Additionally, the discovery of DNA disproves Lamark s theory because it shows DNA ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These stories have been altered numerous times, varying with a changing society. Classic fairy tales by the Brother s Grimm, Rapunzel and Cinderella, were published in the mid 1800s. Many years later Disney released its own versions of these Grimm fairy tales called Tangled, a modern take on Rapunzel, and Cinderella published in 2010 and 1950 respectfully. • 35. The Importance Of Intelligence And Organizational Leadership Introduction Cybercriminals have been increasingly engaging in online attacks exploiting organization s vulnerabilities and deficiencies (Bhattacharya, 2011). Among the organizational factors that are necessary to combat cybercrime and other problems related to information security, leadership is one of the most important (Bhattacharya, 2011; Kwon, et al., 2013). Indeed, not only does effective leadership enable the organization to appropriately defend itself against, and respond to, cybercrime through the appropriate use of information security strategies, an excellent leader also ensures regulatory compliance and the development of an effective monitoring plan to reduce information security risks (Kwon, et al., 2013). At the other end of the spectrum, ineffective leadership leads to passive or reactive measures against cybercrime that, in turn, can place the organization at risk of information security related damage and losses (Gupta and Hammond, 2005). This mini proposal presents a body of research that will make a contribution to emotional intelligence and organizational leadership in the information security age. It presents the steps taken to select the participants, how the data will be analyzed into themes. The mini proposal will also present methods, techniques and the tasks are used to capture the data. It also discusses a series of studies that provide an empirical evaluation of particular cybercrime events, and uses the experimental results to begin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Placebos offer a medicine free treatment to help patients deal with pain. Many studies have been done to examine the difference between medicine and placebos pills to treat migraineheadaches. One particular comic book series I was quite fond of was The Sandman by award winning writer Neil Gaiman. What really got my attention was the character Death; the sister of the main protagonist Sandman. Death is both the lord and personification of all death and life, but she is the complete opposite of what people see her image as, an image of a skeleton with scythe and a scary black robe. We do not know the true image of death, but why depict a woman? Why not just a figure of a skeleton? Is it too complicated to show Death as a skeleton figure or a mere shadow, like in the film The Frighteners? It is not scary and I find it sexist to have an image of a dark and strange figure be a woman. This is similar to the Infinity Gauntlet storyline published by Marvel where Thanos, the main antagonist, is on a quest to please Death herself in order to win over her heart and cause destruction all over the galaxy. Again, another personification of death is portrayed as a female, seeming to signify that women are far more ferocious and scary than men are. The church were guilty of abusing their power and influence Catholics to become more aggressive towards others who were non Catholic. The church would perform public flogging towards non Catholic missionaries from passing through countries and preaching their religion. They would then encourage violence towards to Jewish citizens as they were blamed for cause of the Plague.Other Catholics, in fear of their sins would perform self flagellation as they worried that they will be infected with the plague. This would lead the idea that the church would use the Black Death as an scapegoat since they were losing power and faith from the people. The church abuse of power were the reasons why they had lost ... • 55. Data And Three Types Of Data Centers Migration of data, applications from traditional data centers to the cloud has been calling the attention to many corporations and analysts. However, as the immense cloud relocation changes the data center industry, a smaller, under rated change has been occurring around the non cloud applications that have been abandoned. These edge applications have remained on premise and, because of the nature of the cloud, the criticality of these applications has expanded altogether. Some of the current limitations for applications shifting to the cloud are identified as Latency Limitation of bandwidth Security These apply to applications that require high availability, low latency and connectivity such as Uber, smart traffic lights, financial ... A localized data center that is co located with the users of the data center. Characteristics: Lack of security Unorganized racks No redundancy . No dedicated cooling No DCIM monitoring. The local equipment is critical to connectivity to everyday business applications. With more and more living in the cloud, when that access point is down, employees cannot be productive. This suggests that a change in how we design these small on premise data centers is needed. We can no longer focus only on central and regional data centers, and arguably, more focus should be on the localized sites because they are currently the weakest links. The issue is that many downsized on premise data centers are not properly designed to assume their new role as critical data outposts. Most are organized as one or two servers housed within a wiring closet Later in this paper, we describe best practices that should be deployed at these sites to ensure a highly connected and productive business Steps that enhance edge resiliency In order to enhance critical edge application availability, several best practices are recommended: Enhanced security When you enter some of these server rooms and closets, you typically see unsecured entry doors and open racks (no doors). To enhance security, equipment should be moved to a locked room or placed within a locked enclosure. Biometric access

  • 59. Macromolecules Of Carbohydrates Background and Carbohydrates How are macromolecule polymers assembled from monomers? How are they broken down? To assemble a macromolecule polymer from monomers, the monomers must bond. This is a process known as a dehydration reaction, in which a water molecule is lost to form the bond. When this process occurs, each of the two bonded monomers provides part of the water molecule that was lost in the dehydration reaction: one contributes a hydroxyl group and the other a hydrogen. Dehydration reaction can take place over and over again, losing a water molecule every time, and forming a chain of monomers: a macromolecule. These macromolecules are disassembled by hydrolysis. This process is the inverse of a dehydration reaction: the covalent bond between the monomers is broken when water is added, a hydrogen attaching to one monomer and a hydroxyl group attaching to the other. How can you tell a biological molecule is a carbohydrate? Carbohydrates are sugars that contain carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in a 1:2:1 ratio. They can be used for storage, structure, and energy. An example is glucose, with chemical formula C6H12O6. Explain the relationship between monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides. All three are carbohydrates. Monosaccharides are the simplest carbohydrates and are classified as simple sugars with molecular formulas that are multiples of CH2O. Disaccharides are two monosaccharides bonded by a glycosidic linkage (a covalent bond formed by dehydration ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
