The Senior Project is subject to the plagiarism policies set forth by the district and Creekview High School. 1) Describe the overall topic of your Senior Project. I am going to work with the Creekland Middle School band throughout the year, and I will conduct them at their concerts (Both Christmas and Spring concerts). 2) What is your previous experience in this area of study? I have been section leader with the Creekview Marching Band for two years. I have ran rehearsals where I have conducted in the past. 3) To what career will you connect this project (required)? Later in my life, I would like to become a band director, this is a great way to prepare for it. 4) Describe what you are proposing to do for your Product step-by-step and in detail. Write on the back of this sheet if necessary. Every day, I will go over to the middle school during their 6th period connections class. While I am there, I will warm them up with playing some chorales. After that, Mr. Carter (band director) will start going over music with them while I am watching and learning the conducting patterns. Once I learn and understand the conducting patterns, Mr. Carter will let me get in front of the ensemble and run through the music on my own. Later on, Mr. Carter will give me advice and ways I can improve my conducting style.
