To create a fishnet in ArcGIS: 1. Click on save to create a new feature class. 2. Select the template for reference. 3. For a 50,000 km2 area with 1 km2 cell size, select 1000 m for cell size and 350 rows and 350 columns. The number of rows and columns depends on the total area and cell size.
