Or
View My Case – If individual has open benefit case with
Department of Human Services.

4. How to Create a MI Bridges
Account by Viewing Your Case
Only Create an account through “View My Case” if have an open
FAP/SER-Energy/Medicaid/Cash Assistance/Child
Development & Care Application or case with DHS
1. From MI Bridges Homepage, Select “View My Case”
2. You will be asked to chose a 4 digit pin, if accessing MI Bridges
through a public computer. Click “Continue”
3. Complete 5 more simple steps that will include:
a) Personal Info: Date of Birth, Individual Case ID or Social
Security #
b) Select communication preference by email or text to receive
correspondence from DHS

7. The User ID created
by the client will be
theirs forever. They
will login to their
MiBridges account
using this same
User ID to check
their
benefits, upload
documents, reapply
for benefits, check
the status of an
application, and
report changes.
The client should keep this username and password in a secure location. If they forget
their username and password they may answer some security questions shown on the
next slide.

8. User Name and Password Creation Tips
1. User name and password should be created by the applicant not
the staff member/volunteer.
 Staff member/volunteer can type in user name and password
as specified by the applicant.
2. User name and password would be written down immediately and
protected by the applicant.
3. Password is Case Sensitive – so make sure to write it down as
entered into MI Bridges
4. Password can not include the first or last name of applicant
5. Cannot use User Name of another applicant when creating a new
account.

The User
Acceptance
Agreement box
must be checked
before finalizing a
MiBridges
account. After all information is filled out, click the Create Account
button to finalize a new account!
