1. The study taught basic cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques to 120 university students and teachers over two classroom sessions.
2. Immediately after the sessions, 89% of students demonstrated the techniques correctly without mistakes according to the new algorithm, and over 90% successfully performed various CPR steps.
3. Six months later, 75% still demonstrated the techniques correctly, showing that CPR knowledge was retained fairly well over time, especially in younger students who tend to have a lower forgetting curve. The study concluded CPR learning should be implemented in high schools to help reduce premature deaths.
Cesarean section what are the associated risksFrank Reynold
In general cesarean section is safe and can save life of the new born and mother, but sometimes it is risky and can lead to some health complications. Among these problems is the pulmonary embolism which is “an obstruction of a blood vessel in lungs, usually due to a blood clot, which blocks a coronary artery.”

A Study to Assess the Level of Knowledge Regarding Airway Management Modaliti...ijtsrd
INTRODUCTION Airway management includes a set of maneuvers and medical procedures performed to prevent and relieve airway obstruction. Due to obstruction in the airway the life of the individual is in danger so use of airway management modalities will help to save the individual’s life. These modalities ensures an open pathway which provide breath to the lungs through the atmospheric air and mechanical support to secure life. The study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge on airway management among Nursing student. The main objectives of study were to assess the knowledge on airway management modalities and to associate the level of knowledge with selected demographic variables. A Quantitative research approach with Descriptive research design was used to evaluate the knowledge regarding airway management modalities. A sample of 60nursing students were selected by convenient sampling technique. structured questionnaire was used to obtain data from the sample . Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics on the basis of objective of the study RESULT The result of the study shows that out of 60 samples 13 21.66 having good knowledge 45 75.3 having average knowledge and 2 3.33 having poor knowledge regarding airway management modalities. with regard to mean and standard deviation of knowledge shows 17.3 and 3.92 respectively. CONCLUSION The study concludes that, the knowledge level of students regarding airway management modalities associated airway management is average, the study suggest that proper teaching and adequate training on airway management will be helpful for the students to gain knowledge. A Pre Experimental Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Structured Teaching P...ijtsrd
Statement of problem A Pre Experimental Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Among Gnm 2nd Year Students of Desh Bhagat University School of Nursing, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. Material and method A pre experimental research design were used for the present study. A study sample of 50 students of GNM 2nd year were selected by non probability purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by self structured questionnaire regarding cardio pulmonary resuscitation among BGNM 2nd year students in Desh Bhagat University School of Nursing Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. The data was analyzed in terms of objectives of the study using descriptive and inferential statistics in terms of frequency, percentage distribution, mean, Standard deviation,‘t' value, and chi square. Results As per percentage distribution of student according to age and gender it was found that Maximum students were in 21yrs 64 followed by, in 20yrs 20 in above 21years 12 and in 19 yrs 4 included in age group. Majority of students were females 82 and only 18 were male students. As per religion and area of residence Most of the students were belongs to sikh religion 90 , than 6 had Hindu and only 4 had Muslim, Maximum students were living in rural area 72 and only 28 were living in urban area. In post test maximum number of 70 the subjects had good knowledge score followed by subjects who had average knowledge score 30 regarding cardio pulmonary resuscitation. The Knowledge score was calculated by ‘t' test and the value was 3.42 Conclusion It was concluded that STP was effective as evidence by the results as the difference between pre test and post test knowledge score regarding cardio pulmonary resuscitation. The knowledge and skills of GNM students can be improved through STP after Posttest. INTRODUCTION CPR AND SCHOOL AUTHORS: López Pérez, Maria Lourdes; Aguilar Cruz, Iván; Parrilla Ruiz, Francisco Manuel; Amezcua, Ángel; Cárdenas Cruz, Dolores; Amini Shervin, Bahareh; García Morón, Alejandro. EMAIL : [email_address] WEB: http://ephpo.es/hguadix INSTITUTIONS: HAR Guadix. Granada . OBJETIVE CONCLUSIONS Hospital de Alta Resolución Guadix The Emergency Medical Physicians, unfortunately and until the Specialty is approved, live in the shadow of the remaining specialities. But when we use the Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the things changes, Now we are the tree that gives the shadow to remaining specialities. Teach students and teachers from a University. And compare to six months their knowledge We use 2 classroom formed by 21 students and 3 teachers, for demonstrated and explain a basic Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). We teach the new Basic RCP Algorithm with new recommendations. Included variables: age, sex, checking of unconsciousness, opening airway by the technique forehead-chin, breathing proof-reading by hearing and feeling, put the people into lateral safety position, and call 112, then to locate and make thoracic compressions, with a rate of 30:2. Passed 6 months we made a new cycle to verify the aptitudes learned and supported in the time . MATERIAL AND METHODS We teach a total of 120 students, with had 17.4 years on average divides in 58% of women and 42% of men. the 89% used algorithm without significative mistakes, all of people could verify the unconsciousness, the 93% could realize correctly the technique forehead-chin, the 94% realized successfully breathing proof, the 90% realized correctly the technique forehead-chin other 90% could do lateral position of safety, the 91% remember call to 112, 93% could locate and made thoracic compressions. To 6 months, the rate of success in relation with learned and supported aptitudes was near to 75 %, with information to standing out; the mistakes were nearest the teachers than the pupils. RESULTS Learning a new sport called "save lives” is easy like this study show, even is much easier with pupils of this age. The “curve of forgetting “in youngest people is lower that in adult, so the knowledge learning will be more durable. The CPR learning should be able in the high school with the time and will be a reduction in premature deaths. Basic RCP, minutes for the life!
