Green Collaboration in Pakansari and Pondok Rajeg City Forests Sows 'Seeds of...Korindo Group
Greetings to One Step Ahead readers,
Talking about the second semester, maybe it’s time to switch to a more positive mindset and look at the pandemic as a momentum to foster empathy and solidarity, and an opportunity to do good for others.
Through the Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) program, Korindo Group takes this opportunity to assist the needy and sustainably empower local communities through regular dissemination events.
We believe empowerment can also be achieved by restoring our natural environment. We see that a healthy, green environment helps maintain ecosystem balance and minimize chances of disaster caused by environmental damage.
In restoring this balance, we work with the Bogor Regency Government on a greening program in Pakansari and Pondok Rajeg; city forests that hundreds of locals are now able to enjoy.
Growing canopy of trees makes surrounding homes more pleasant to look at, improving air quality as traffic-induced dust and pollution gradually lessen.

Indonesia has a growing middle class population that is expected to more than double in size by 2020. This emerging middle class has rising incomes and confidence in the future, which is leading them to upgrade their shopping baskets to include more premium products. While they want better quality goods, they still shop judiciously and prefer visible price tags to aid comparison. Most retail is still conducted through traditional markets, but modern trade is growing rapidly and now competes for market share. Women are the key influencers in shopping decisions. Meeting the needs of this new consumer class will be important for businesses in Indonesia.

2. HISTORY OF LEGEND TREN
#KITA MENDUNIA
Legend Tren originated from a small discussion between a native youth named Indra
Tony Syayuti and one of the Tuban elders, Bpk. Karnoto H.S, who really wants the
existence of the Lontar Tree or Nira Siwalan to be sustainable and not lost in the era of
progress.
From this discussion, a strong intention was achieved, to continue to fight
wholeheartedly so that the existence of this ancestral heritage tree remains sustainable.
The reasons are as follows:
1. Lontar trees or Siwalan trees, cannot be cultivated.
2. Lontar trees or Siwalan trees, can only be harvested after at least 25 years of age.
3. The Lontar tree or the Siwalan tree, has begun to become extinct in several areas.
4. Lontar tree or Siwalan tree, only grows in certain areas.
5. Lontar trees or Siwalan trees, which exist are the legacy of our ancestors.
So that with the facts above, it will further strengthen us to always innovate, so
The existence of the Lontar Tree can still be sustainable and can bring benefits to all
Indonesian people.
