• Remanufacturers like Cox Auto often serve
warranty claims for OEMs.
• Consumer gets a battery pack that is as good or
better (AGOB).
• Cox Auto verifies state of health through
remanufacturing programs.

2. Energy Storage Systems
• Used EV Batteries can be great for second life
applications.
• Batteries are the most expensive component in
solar powered systems.
• A 100kw system could power a house for multiple
days.
• Mitigate grid instability during emergencies.

3. Recycling
• Batteries deemed unfit for reuse.
• Battery must be de-energized for dry recycling
process.
• Separating plastics, metals, and black mass.
• Metals are the most expensive component.
• Last year, DoE committed to give $192 million to
fund battery production/recycling facilities.
• Creating a more circular economy.
