The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly impacted employment globally and in Nepal. According to estimates, between 860 billion to 3.4 trillion could be lost in workers' incomes by the end of 2020 due to reduced access to work. In Nepal, sectors like tourism, manufacturing, construction and trade have been hit hard, putting millions of jobs at risk of disruption. An estimated 1.6-2 million jobs in Nepal may be lost or have reduced hours/wages.
