2. Before Writing
 When you read the add, you must
make sure that you have understood
what the employer is looking for, and
then try to project that image without
being dishonest.
 While reading the add, select the key
words that you may use later for
writing your application letter.

1. Inform about the position you are
going to apply. For example:
“Marketing Assistant.”
2. Don’t forget the reference number.
3. Use expressions such as Dear Sir,
Dear Madam or the name of the person
who is in charge of the recruitment
process if you know it.
4. In your closings think about whether
you know the recipient’s name.

 The style should be quite formal but showing

 You cannot use contractions such as don’t

to your present employers, if you are working.
