As a recent graduate of Millersville University with a major in Speech Communications
and a minor in marketing, I offer solid academic credentials as well as related work
experience gained from an internship at Hospice and Community Care. I am confident
that I have the necessary qualifications and skills you desire for the position.
I believe I am well suited for this position because of my experience managing
volunteers, establishing and maintain relationships with sponsors and donors and
developing new marketing strategies for the promotion of events. These skills were
acquired during a summer internship where I assisted my supervisor in coordinating
events such as the Labor Day Auction, which raised almost a half a million dollars and
Wine, Dine and Unwind. In addition to planning events, I was tasked with data entry,
preparing mail mergers and donor letters, designing promotional material and managing
the Sports Auction tent and inventory.
Intensive course work in business writing, business and professional communication and
marketing strategies have helped me develop professional writing skills as well as skills
in tactical planning, analytics and research, brand management and consumer behavior.
Additionally, courses in Public Relations campaigns and research have provided me with
the opportunity to manage multiple projects simultaneously with multiple groups as well
as the opportunity to work with non-profit organizations to successfully develop
campaign and research plans. I feel that these attributes make me a valuable candidate for
the position.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this position further and how I can make a
positive contribution to your organizational goals. My resume is enclosed and you can
contact me by phone or email to provide you with any further information you might
need.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about
this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Samantha Testa
