Course Outcomes Home Economics
B.A. I Semester – I
By completion of this course students will able –
1) To understand the field of Home Economics.
2) To create an awareness among the students about resources and their management
in the family.
3) To make aware about decision making and to enhance the decision making
capability of the women
4) To provide knowledge and develop skills regarding principles and methods of interior
decorations.
5) To develop skill regarding preparing the Bouquets and Flower Arrangements for
decoration and enhance the chances of employment.
6) To aware of basic elements and principle of arts.
B.A. I Semester II
By completion of this course students will able –
1) To acquire basic knowledge of principles involved in planning of residential house.
2) To learn and apply various methods and techniques of the work simplification.
3) To develop employability skills and the ‘skill of earning while learning’.
4) To bring awareness about waste management and water conservation for
environmental protection.
5) To develop skills of preparing flower bouquets / baskets / arrangements, artificial
flowers and other useful items for decoration, selling to enhance employability.
6) To provide skills regarding methods of interior decoration.
7) To introduction job potentials in Home economics education to the students.
B.A. II Semester – III
By completion of this course students will able –
1) To promote basic knowledge pertaining to various food groups and nutrients.
2) To relate the composition of foods to their various properties.
3) To develop abilities to plan Diets for Various stages.
4) To promote understanding of common nutritional disorders due to the deficiency
of nutrients.
5) To learn Principles of diet planning and plan balance diet of family members.
6) To develop the Entrepreneurial skills
B.A. II Semester – IV
By completion of this course students will able –
1) To develop ability to improve the nutritional quality of food. .
2) To development abilities to plan diets for various diseases.
3) To develop food preparation and care ability.
4) To provide knowledge about causes, symptoms and role of diet management of
diseases.
5) To aware the work of different agencies in the area of health.
6) To comprehend concept of community nutrition, communication and understand the
techniques of nutrition education.
B.A. III Semester – V
By completion of this course students will able –
1) To understand the concept of Human Development.
2) To know the factors affecting of human Development.
3) To introduce the students to the field of child development. Its concept, scope,
dimensions and interrelations.
4) To sensitize the students to interventions in the field of child development.
5) To understand the biological and physiological foundation of development.
B.A. III Semester – VI
By completion of this course students will able –
1) To appreciate sequential ages of development during child-hood.
2) To sensitize students about child-hood behavior problems.
2) To state the role of parent and teacher in child development.
3) To understand the problems of child.
4) To develop in students creative ability related to children- leading to enhanced
employability.
