innovation. Being competitive requires
mastering three elements: transformation,
aggregation and innovation.
17. PORTER’S FIVE FORCES MODEL
Threat of new entrance- New players come in
competition to existing firm. As we know LG have
many competitors like Samsung, Videocon,
Whirlpool.
Rivalry among competitors- Competition rivalry
among industries. There should be a variety of
products, more custom revenue generation. LG
provides more variety of home appliances than
Videocon.

Threat of substitute product-LG have threat of Sony
bravia , Samsung LED’s.
Bargaining power of customer and supplier- If a
customer want some particular features which
completes specific utility of customer than the
company also expects from there customers i.e.
loyalty, fair response, timely payment.

Electronics is increasing its focus on "Smart
Technology" - technology that adds
convenience and joy to customers' lives.
Expansion- it is expanding itself worldwide for
more profits and sales of the company by
opening different stores at different places.
In order to sustain leadership among global
electronics and information technology
companies, LG Electronics' R&D is driving the
development of "Great Products" and
strengthening core technological capabilities
through a process of "select and focus" in key
areas such as cell phones and digital TVs.
20. RETRENCHMENT:A strategy used by this
company is , to reduce the diversity or the
overall size of the operations of
the company. This strategy is used in order to
cut expenses with the goal of becoming a
more financial stable business.
EXPANSION- ACER believes in “Brands may be
important, but good products are what the
market is looking for.” therefore, it is
increasing its products variety and expanding
the business worldwide.
