• The audience uses response devices to submit answers to

Quick Tips for Planning Events
•Plan your meeting as far in advance as possible. This will lessen
your stress and increase your chances for success.
•Reserve your event space as soon as a date is chosen. This will
help you find a room to meet your needs and wants best.
•Have as much of the following information available when calling:
1. Date of meeting (as well as back-up dates)
2. Meeting start and end time
3. Approximate number of attendees
4. Desired set-up of room (rounds, classroom)
5. Estimated catering needs (breakfast, lunch, snack)
6. Technology needs (A/V equipment, microphones)
•Create an agenda for your event and distribute it to relevant
parties, including your event planner. Include meal and break
times.

Quick Tips Continued
•Set your RSVP deadline far enough in advance of your
meeting. Many caterers (including Sammy’s) require advance
notice of your final catering count.
•Designate one single point of contact to work with your facility
event planner. This helps reduce miscommunication &
confusion.
•For larger events, or more complex set-ups, schedule a
walkthrough with your event planner at least one week before
your event.
•Keep your event planner in the loop. The more notice we
have of changes the more likely we can fit your new needs.
•Remember to ask us questions and allow us to assist you in
the planning. We want to show your company what a
superstar you are by delivering a flawless event.
