The Copernicus Masters – the European Earth Monitoring Competition is awarding prizes to innovative solutions for business and society based on EO data.
Participants can choose from a total of nine Challenges covering topics such as environmental monitoring, cloud computing, and mobile services, along with the innovative use of radar and VHR satellite imagery.
The competition is directed towards developers, entrepreneurs, SMEs, and students.
Applicants can compete for their share of this year's EUR 350,000 prize pool until 15 September. Adding to cash prizes, prizes include support for the commercial realisation of the winning ideas and data access.
Started in 2011 by ESA, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the DLR German Aerospace Center, and T-Systems GmbH, the competition is also supported by the European Commission, European Space Imaging GmbH, Astrium Services, the BMW Group research and technology, and GEO magazine.
