2. WHAT IS IT?
Unwanted verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a
sexual nature that is severe or pervasive and affects
working conditions or creates a hostile work
environment.
3. Ruth has been working at a Law-Firm for three
consecutive years. She has been known to be
hardworking and dedicated to her job.
4. The next day Ruth was called into her boss's office.
5. Ruth was so eager to know what he wanted. Come to
find out she was given a promotion! She was so
excited to hear the good news.
6. With all the excitment her boss started to make her
feel uncomfortable by touching her inapproprietly and
saying things in a sexual manner.
7. Eventhough Ruth wanted this promotion throughout
her career she knew she didnt want to deal with
sexual harassment at her workplace. She turned
down the offer.
8. After she met with her boss she immedietley advised
someone about the situation. He got fired and Ruth
soon became the new boss.
9. Sexual harassment should never be tolerated. It can
hurt people physically as well as emotionally. At any
time you feel like you are being sexual harassed at
work or anywhere else tell someone, don't be afraid.
