This document discusses converting gait data collected using a motion capture system into files that can be analyzed using OpenSim software. The process involves collecting marker position data during walking trials, converting the files to .c3d and .trc formats, scaling a musculoskeletal model to match the participant, using inverse kinematics to calculate joint angles, inverse dynamics to calculate joint forces and moments, and static optimization to estimate muscle forces. The goal is to analyze muscle and joint loading during walking.
