2. Identifying Conventions of fact-based
websites

One convention of the website is the navigation bar with tabs to
different sections and drop down menus to most popular topics,
these are used to find out more information.
Another convention is a embedded video which will show the
readers what’s happening.
There is also a search box where anyone can type a topic in and
everything relevant will come up such as stories.
A logo is a convention of a fact based website as well the logo is
linked with the home page.
Another convention is a slogan which is a short and striking or
memorable phrase used in advertising.
3. Sharing, saving and printing icons is also a convention of fact
based websites, they want readers to share and tell other people
about it.
They also have tabs for the specific topic as well as a subheading.
Bullet points and Hyperlinks are also a convention these are used
on mostly every fact based websites.
Another convention is Advice boxes/boxed information which is
there for the reader to reflect on.
Comments are a convention as well you can comment on a story
you like and give your opinion.
Images are a convention there would most probably be a image
of the topic or person of interest.
The name of the article is also a convention it’s the title it will
make a reader carry on reading if interested.
