Sometimes they can be psychological, therefore
creating adrenaline. Fast paced editing and music
can add to the adrenaline that the producer wants
the audience to feel.
Shadows, low key lighting, flash backs and
montage editing are usually used to create
suspense and to add to the eerie atmosphere of
the unknown. As well as to give a sense of time and
space. Mirrors are usually used to show the
reflection of the character, so that they can figure
out who they really are.

3. Settings in Sci-fi thrillers are usually set in
different time periods. This is usually in the
future, or set in space. However Sci-fi films
that want to be believable will be set in a
more believable setting and time period.
As the time period may be different, it's
important to get the characters costume to
establish what era it is as well as their social
status and class.

show that the time period is futuristic. To
add to the setting of the film, often music will
sound like its from space, this is produced by
