1. Contents page: possible images
For my contents page, I took a range of images of my model, however, the first
page images came out blurred therefore I couldn’t usethem as a main image
for my contents page. On the other hand, I used the blurred images as smaller
images to be presented on my front cover as possibleposters to makemy
magazine cover seem realistic and professional. I madethem smaller which
doesn’tshow them to be blurred. I
had to change the location of my
contents page images as the place
whereI originally wanted to take
them was getting removed by the
council therefore, I had to usemy
college grounds as an alternative.
The images I had taken were
against a brick wall and steps to
make my model seem edgy and
cool, yet a regular person by being
in a public area.
The model was changed due to
the lack of time my other model
had so I decided to usea male
model and it would also make my
magazine to appeal to both the
male and the female gender and
target audience.
Therefore, the costumeis just
everyday normalclothing which
makes the model seem very
normal and approachable- this
conforms to the idea of typical
Indiemagazines like NME.
2. These images were taken a few
days later as the others were
blurred. The quality of the images
isn’t great as I didn’t have access
to a camera so I had to usemy
mobile phone.
The locations of these images are
again on college grounds,
however they are in a different
place. I used the brick wall to
achieve an edgy, cool look but I
also used an industrial container
to furthermoregive the model an
edgy look, in contrastto the brick
images I don’tlike it as it doesn’t
seem to make a statement as
much as the ones where the
model is stood in frontof the
brick wall.
The costume of the model is quite
similar to the previous images,
but there has been a jacket added
due to the cold weather outside.
The denim jacketmakes the model seem morerelaxed and trendy. Also, denim
may be argued that it can conform to the genre of indie as it is commonly used
in magazines such as Indieand Q.
