This background was designed for a magazine to look like creased paper for a rugged style. Its simple color scheme allows foreground objects to stand out without color clashes. The black background of another magazine's template fits the rock genre and resembles a guitar with white lines providing contrast and eye catching visual interest. The bottom includes stories in an original recognizable layout with plenty of lines in a modern style to cover all content. A final version will later include text and images.

1. This background has been designed to fit into
the house style of the magazine. It was
created to make a “rugged” style, as it looks
like creased paper. The simplistic colour
scheme means that objects can be placed in
the foreground, without a clash of colours

2. The template is again used to fit the house style
of the other magazine. The black background fits
in with the genre (rock), and the white lines and
a sense of contrast, and also resemble a guitar,
one of the main instruments relating to the rock
genre. The contrast with the background is used
to make the whole thing look eye catching.

3. The bottom half will include all of the little
stories in the magazine. It is set out in an
original way to make it recognisable to
readers of the magazine. The lines add a
modern style, and there are plenty of them so
all of the stories can be covered

text and images included.
