Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

2. Q The colour scheme of red, white and black links in with the house style set by the front cover of this issue. The main image is of the artist featured in the lead article and takes up almost a 1/3 of the vertical page, with the contents list in a column at the side. Secondary features are also linked to images. The word contents is very large, this is probably so that it’s easy to find.
3. Rock Sound This magazine only lists the main features, an unusual way of setting out a contents page. The main article is the focal point, with the accompanying image taking up the majority of the page. The colour scheme is white, black and red which matches the house style of the front cover. However, whereas the front cover was very dark, the contents page by contrast is very light.
4. Kerrang The colour scheme is predominantly white black and yellow, which matches the house style of the magazine. The page is laid out in a classic style, although overcrowded and over-busy, that is easy to read and navigate. The main feature is given the largest area, the accompanying image taking up half the page. All article are shown and page numbers given. The text is set out in traditional columns.
