Artificial intelligence has the potential to significantly impact education. It can automate tasks like grading to save teachers time, and adapt educational software and materials to individual student needs through machine learning. AI also enables personalized tutoring and feedback to support students. While costs are currently high and AI lacks creativity, its 24/7 availability, reduction of human errors, and unbiased decision-making provide advantages to the education system. The role of humans will be to ensure the safe and responsible development of AI.

Impact of Artificial Intelligence in E-Learning SystemSumanRathore7
Artificial Intelligence has become a part of our lives and is used vastly from social media to speech recognition, customer services to coding, transport to finance, and a lot more things. One of the most important things among them is Artificial Intelligence in the E-Learning System.
It is likely that you will soon be doing a job that doesn't exist yet. We're not talking about making flying cars or time machines. During significant business transformations driven by technology and digitization, employers place a premium importance on non-technical skills. It is alarming that many of the most important skills are also those that employers are least confident in developing.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. Overview
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that
are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be
applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as
learning and problem-solving.
The ideal characteristic of artificial intelligence is its ability to rationalize and take
actions that have the best chance of achieving a specific goal. A subset of artificial
intelligence is machine learning (ML), which refers to the concept that computer
programs can automatically learn from and adapt to new data without being assisted
by humans. Deep learning techniques enable this automatic learning through the
absorption of huge amounts of unstructured data such as text, images, or video.

5. Role of AI in Education
1. Artificial intelligence can automate basic activities in education, like grading.
In college, grading homework and tests for large lecture courses can be tedious
work, even when TAs split it between them. Even in lower grades, teachers often
find that grading takes up a significant amount of time, time that could be used to
interact with students, prepare for class, or work on professional development.
5
6. Role of AI in Education
2. Educational software can be adapted to student needs.
From kindergarten to graduate school, one of the key ways artificial intelligence
will impact education is through the application of greater levels of individualized
learning. Some of this is already happening through growing numbers of adaptive
learning programs, games, and software. These systems respond to the needs of
the student, putting greater emphasis on certain topics, repeating things that
students haven’t mastered, and generally helping students to work at their own
pace, whatever that may be.
6
7. Role of AI in Education
3. It can point out places where courses need to improve.
Teachers may not always be aware of gaps in their lectures and educational
materials that can leave students confused about certain concepts. Artificial
intelligence offers a way to solve that problem. Coursera, a massive open online
course provider, is already putting this into practice. When a large number of
students are found to submit the wrong answer to a homework assignment, the
system alerts the teacher and gives future students a customized message that
offers hints to the correct answer.
7
8. Role of AI in Education
4. Students could get additional support from AI tutors.
While there are obviously things that human tutors can offer that machines can’t,
at least not yet, the future could see more students being tutored by tutors that
only exist in zeros and ones. Some tutoring programs based on artificial
intelligence already exist and can help students through basic mathematics,
writing, and other subjects.
8
9. Role of AI in Education
5. AI-driven programs can give students and educators helpful feedback.
AI can not only help teachers and students to craft courses that are customized to
their needs, but it can also provide feedback to both about the success of the
course as a whole. Some schools, especially those with online offerings, are using
AI systems to monitor student progress and to alert professors when there might
be an issue with student performance.
9
10. Role of AI in Education
6. It is altering how we find and interact with information.
We rarely even notice the AI systems that affect the information we see and find
on a daily basis. Google adapts results to users based on location, Amazon makes
recommendations based on previous purchases, Siri adapts to your needs and
commands, and nearly all web ads are geared toward your interests and shopping
preferences.
10
11. Role of AI in Education
7. It could change the role of teachers.
There will always be a role for teachers in education, but what that role is and
what it entails may change due to new technology in the form of intelligent
computing systems. As we’ve already discussed, AI can take over tasks like
grading, can help students improve learning, and may even be a substitute for real-
world tutoring. Yet AI could be adapted to many other aspects of teaching as well.
AI systems could be programmed to provide expertise, serving as a place for
students to ask questions and find information or could even potentially take the
place of teachers for very basic course materials. In most cases, however, AI will
shift the role of the teacher to that of facilitator.
11
12. Role of AI in Education
8. AI can make trial-and-error learning less intimidating.
Trial and error is a critical part of learning, but for many students, the idea of
failing, or even not knowing the answer, is paralyzing. Some simply don’t like being
put on the spot in front of their peers or authority figures like a teacher. An
intelligent computer system, designed to help students to learn, is a much less
daunting way to deal with trial and error. Artificial intelligence could offer students
a way to experiment and learn in a relatively judgment-free environment, especially
when AI tutors can offer solutions for improvement.
12
13. Role of AI in Education
9. Data powered by AI can change how schools find, teach, and support students.
Smart data gathering, powered by intelligent computer systems, is already making
changes to how colleges interact with prospective and current students. From
recruiting to helping students choose the best courses, intelligent computer
systems are helping make every part of the college experience more closely
tailored to student needs and goals.
13
14. Role of AI in Education
10. AI may change where students learn, who teaches them, and how they
acquire basic skills.
While major changes may still be a few decades in the future, the reality is that
artificial intelligence has the potential to radically change just about everything we
take for granted about education.
14
16. Advantages of AI in Education
1. Reduction in Human Error
One of the biggest advantages of Artificial Intelligence is that it can significantly
reduce errors and increase accuracy and precision. The decisions taken by AI in
every step is decided by information previously gathered and a certain set of
algorithms. When programmed properly, these errors can be reduced to null.
16
17. Advantages of AI in Education
2. Zero Risks
Another big advantage of AI is that humans can overcome many risks by letting AI
robots do them for us. Whether it be defusing a bomb, going to space, exploring
the deepest parts of oceans, machines with metal bodies are resistant in nature
and can survive unfriendly atmospheres. Moreover, they can provide accurate
work with greater responsibility and not wear out easily.
17
18. Advantages of AI in Education
3. 24x7 Availability
There are many studies that show humans are productive only about 3 to 4 hours
in a day. Humans also need breaks and time offs to balance their work life and
personal life. But AI can work endlessly without breaks. They think much faster
than humans and perform multiple tasks at a time with accurate results. They can
even handle tedious repetitive jobs easily with the help of AI algorithms.
18
19. Advantages of AI in Education
4. Digital Assistance
Some of the most technologically advanced companies engage with users using
digital assistants, which eliminates the need for human personnel. Many websites
utilize digital assistants to deliver user-requested content. We can discuss our
search with them in conversation. Some chatbots are built in a way that makes it
difficult to tell whether we are conversing with a human or a chatbot.
19
20. Advantages of AI in Education
5. Unbiased Decisions
Human beings are driven by emotions, whether we like it or not. AI on the other
hand, is devoid of emotions and highly practical and rational in its approach. A
huge advantage of Artificial Intelligence is that it doesn't have any biased views,
which ensures more accurate decision-making.
20
22. Advantages of AI in Education
1. High Costs
The ability to create a machine that can simulate human intelligence is no small
feat. It requires plenty of time and resources and can cost a huge deal of money.
AI also needs to operate on the latest hardware and software to stay updated and
meet the latest requirements, thus making it quite costly.
22
23. Advantages of AI in Education
2. No creativity
A big disadvantage of AI is that it cannot learn to think outside the box. AI is
capable of learning over time with pre-fed data and past experiences, but cannot
be creative in its approach. A classic example is the bot Quill who can write
Forbes earning reports. These reports only contain data and facts already
provided to the bot. Although it is impressive that a bot can write an article on its
own, it lacks the human touch present in other Forbes articles
23
24. Advantages of AI in Education
3. Unemployment
One application of artificial intelligence is a robot, which is displacing occupations
and increasing unemployment (in a few cases). Therefore, some claim that there
is always a chance of unemployment as a result of chatbots and robots replacing
humans.
24
25. Advantages of AI in Education
4. No Ethics
Ethics and morality are important human features that can be difficult to
incorporate into an AI. The rapid progress of AI has raised a number of concerns
that one day, AI will grow uncontrollably, and eventually wipe out humanity. This
moment is referred to as the AI singularity.
25
26. Conclusion
The most important role for humans
will be to ensure that the rise of the
AI doesn’t get out of hand. Although
there are both debatable pros and
cons of artificial intelligence , its
impact on the global industry is
undeniable. It continues to grow
every single day driving sustainability
for businesses. This certainly calls for
the need of AI literacy and upskilling
to prosper in many new age jobs.
