General Objective
At the end of the lesson, 90 % of the Grade 9
students are expected to describe congruent
triangles.
Sub-Tasks
1. Define congruent triangles.
2. List the six corresponding parts of congruent
triangles.
3. Illustrate congruent triangles
What is meant by congruent triangles?
Two triangles are congruent if and only if
their vertices can be paired so that corresponding
parts are congruent and corresponding angles are
congruent.
They must have the same shape and the same size.
The sides and angles will then match up like this:
Corre- sponding An- gles
Corresponding Sides
Enumerate at least 3 con-
gruent triangles that you can see
in our campus.
Now you’re ready...let’s go outside.

Task 1: Define congruent triangles.
Task 2 : List the six corresponding parts
given that BOY LET .
Task 3: Illustrate your own
congruent triangles.
Let’s see how much you’ve
learned...
Let’s try !
Given: JOY HOT
Task:
List the six corresponding parts .
Good luck !!!
I bet you can do this …

Task: 1. Put some markings to indicate corresponding sides
and angles.
2. List the six corresponding parts.
You’re good!!!
Now, it’s time to illustrate your own congruent triangles.
What is meant by congruent triangles?
Two triangles are _________ if and only if
their ________ can be paired so that corresponding
