This document provides examples of commonly confused word pairs in English and example sentences using each word to illustrate the difference. It contains 10 pairs of words that are often mixed up including loose/lose, effect/affect, there/their, exiting/exciting, then/than. For each pair there is a sentence where the reader must choose the correct word to complete it.
